Great interview today with Craig Conroy and Steinberg/Loubardias/Klein on the Fan960, talking about draft stories re: Gaudreau, Phillips, and other late round picks (the Flames almost had Kucherov and took Wotherspoon 1 pick earlier). I remember hearing that they had Kucherov on the radar but overplayed their hand thinking they could get him later. But it was after he was picked, they knew they had to jump on Gaudreau ASAP.
