As for Markstrom backing up, some of you need to relax. There are lots of occasions where a guy could play, but if it isn't playoffs, then no need. So Markstrom sits, but if needed he could go in. How is that a problem for some of you?

Because it happens after a couple days of rest after a game he dominated and against a team he struggles against and he's still on the bench backing up.
Too many coincidences.
Sounds like 'Oilers Flu.'

I am just glad that Pospisil isn't missing this one. I hope he causes a ruckus.

You should go back and see Kizmenko’s deployment over last few games. He might well be sick but it also seems Huska is trying to get more out of him.

I wonder if that’s even a betting play. 95% guaranteed money so I doubt it.

How dare you apply reason and logic when there are people who want to jump to conclusions and create a mountain out of a mole hill?

I haven't had any complaints about Kuzmenkos efforts since he's come to the Flames. The balance of the forward group is out of wack.
There's real chemistry there with Huberdeau. They just need a center. And Sharangovich needs to be back on wing.

I watched, thanks.
The guy's sick, it isn't that hard.

The biggest gripe I've heard constantly here in Canucks land about Kuzmenko was his super lack of interest in defending.
And my eyeballs have seen for themselves he's been committed to defending as Flame.
Not worried at all. There's just too much going on around the team to make definitive concerns about Kuzmenko at this time.

Yeah, I agree. Obviously he has some shortcomings, but I haven't seen a lack of effort or a lack of interest. I think what we are seeing is that Huska is asking him to play a particular way, and so far it is a work in progress.
None of that leads to thinking there is more to the scratch than the obvious, which is that he is under the weather (as reported)

Hopefully Flames empty the tank tonight. Oilers 2nd of a back to back (at home of course). But only 1 more game (Tuesday) in a week for the Flames until Kippers jersey retirement next Sat.

Please just butt the hell out of the game refs. I don’t want to see phantom calls while Mcdavid clutches other peoples sticks and cross checks every player without worry
