Don't love that it's 5 years but otherwise this is cool. Gotta be a trade or two coming now, right? Too many players.

If this lineup doesn't get the Flames into the playoffs, then there needs to be an investigation.

How many tams have more depth than us at this point?

On forward, we have Ferland and Versteeg out (and Versteeg wasn't around most of the year, and we have:

Neal, Lindholm, Ryan and Czarnik in.

With a bunch f young guys getting a year older as well. This team has crazy depth.

All 4 lines have been improved. All 4. How many teams can say that?

My guess is Frolik to Winnipeg for futures or a prospect (3rd round pick or Petan, maybe both?)

Lazar will be in the minors or dealt for a 6th or 7th to a team closer to the start of the year.

Brouwer will he placed in the minors like Raymond was with the intention of buying him out next year.

That’s how I see it shaking down.

I don't give a rat's ass about the term, this team is here now!

Find a way to get rid of Brouwer, and look to move Stone out as the kids become ready, and we still have tons of cap space (don't necessarily mean this year, that could happen for next year as well).

No question.

At least one body has to be on the way out and probably 2.

Particularly if any of Dube/Mangiapane/Klimchuk are good enough in camp.

Im guessing Frolik may be the odd man out simply because he would hold the most value.

A measly 2 week timeframe in the offseason and this team is vastly different. Treliving has set out to change the makeup and the compete. He's done about all he can to remedy the situation. Now it's up to Peters to implement the results.

Why? We should be able to keep everyone. Find a way to move Brouwer, don't trade away some of the depth you've finally created.

Another reason I don't mind overpaying for a guy like this in free agency; it avoids having to give up assets for a similar player.

For example, as much as I love Simmonds this is much better than trading, say, Brodie for him and then still having to overpay for Simmonds in a year to keep him.

Now they can keep Brodie and hope he has a return to form with Giordano. I'm getting really excited for this season now.

Neal with Johnny and Mony really does open up our offense... just incredible depth through the first 3 lines that all harness a combination of good two-way ability, shiftiness, grittiness and goal scoring ability. Incredible job by Treliving this off-season; this team has been reimagined and in short order. Amazing.

Lindholm, Hanifin, Neal, Ryan, Czarnik.
Those are some quality players to add.

This line of thinking can’t be understated or overlooked - we over payed by about 500k per year and have 1 or 2 years more than preferred in term but we give up no core pieces to do it. The depth is crazy on this team now; hoping Tre is able to tinker a bit more and bring in some futures for Frolik, Lazar, Brouwer in order to open up the door for some of the youth movement in Mangiapane, Foo and Czarnik.

What a great all-around UFA haul. Hope this is the shake up (including the Carolina trade) that puts last year's forgettable season squarely behind us.

Mission accomplished! Treliving has checked off every box on the team’s needs list. Now he has some clean up to do around the edges of the roster, but I think “Bradley” deserves major kudos for his work this off season.
