These ugly / poor-performance Pokemon games aren't a Switch problem, they're a Game Freak problem. Nintendo will come out with a new Switch in 1-2 years and Game Freak will make another ugly Pokemon game with bad performance. Compare them to something like Xenoblade Chronicles 3, that game is like a whole generation ahead graphically and runs a lot better too. As long as they're the lead developer you'll never see anything close to a good looking game.
I agree with everything you're saying, but I've maintained from X and Y back in 2013 when they first made the jump to 3D that these games should never be 3D. And I don't think they've released a single game that has proven me wrong. The 2D sprites looked fantastic. HeartGold/Soul Silver/Platinum were the best the games have ever looked.
They also need to ditch the constant cutscenes with ridiculous dialogue. I know you can turn it off but I'd need to play through this game like 5 times (which ain't happening) before I can do that and not be lost.
Less is more, GameFreak. Go back to 2D, get every Pokemon back in the game (which is way easier with 2D sprites), and go back to the formulas from Gen's 1-5 that worked so well.
Lol there's a way to duplicate items in the new Pokemon games. You can only do one item at a time but still is probably worth while to dupe master balls or the biggest xp candies.

But certainty is an absurd one.
Duplicating items is a time honoured tradition in Pokemon games... Or at least I assume so based on my memories of playing Red and Blue in 8th grade. I think it had to do with a link cable trick.

finished A Plague Tale: Requiem. Maaaaaan ... that was great. Like I said, the framerate drops in some areas were annoying as ####, but I loved pretty much everything else. Playing both games back to back was a lot of fun.
I really enjoyed the story. One of the best portrayals of a young boy I've seen in a video game and the girl was also fantastic. My main gripe is that I have never, ever played a game where the ending was dragged out so long. It should have been at least two hours shorter. Still one of the better story driven games in recent memory.
Hm if the story lines are good might be worth a bargain bin pickup at some point.
After the last few updates I'm 100% satisfied now. As long as you turn off rt it's 150 plus fps and no lags or tearing in buildings. Still not great like cyberpunk in open world BUT even with rt open world 60+ fps no tearing or stutters but not much over .
The more updates the better . IMO this is a game that will age better as you really do need to play it 4 plus times . 4 characters with their own unique stories . Yes you can switch them when ever but you'd have to replay again 4 times in different combos of rotation to still get all the stories played out..

Link cable trick was duplicating pokemon. Duplicating items was via missingno.

The new season of Battlefield 2042 is off to a great start. This game has certainly come a long way (and now has a big boost thanks to getting added to GamePass).

You'd think I'd remember this as a former world champion but I guess it was 20 years ago.
Anyway, that Steam sale got me. That Steam sale ****ing boomed me. It's so good. It's so good. It's so good.
Transistor
Pyre
Gris
Portal / Portal 2
Psychonauts 2
Grim Dawn
Journey
What Remains of Edith Finch
Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark + DLC
Street Fighter 5
Streets of Rage 4 DLC
Sonic Mania DLC
CrossCode: A New Home
Total cost under $100. Some of it I've already played or owned on other platforms but figured what the hell, now I have it in Steam.

Not going to lie, my correction above is how I see a lot of steam purchases now. It was a good business move for them to jump into the space themselves.
Yeah, almost all of those are clear Steam Deck purchases. Like I won't even bother playing them on my actual PC, probably (although I said that about Hades and I find I actually am a lot better at that on my desktop).

I got Uncharted Legacy of Thieves for free with my recent Ryzen processor purchase. It's 125GB installed. Thankfully I also got a new m.2 drive to put it on.

I'm ridiculously stoked for this game. I obviously won't buy it day one, because I don't want to be a beta tester, but I really, really hope it's good.
