There will definitely be disruptions involved in constructing the barriers, but actual road-closed time can be pretty limited. You can drive almost all of the track in Monaco within an hour after practice 2 ends.

I'm curious about the timeline for the whole weekend and if they'll have any support races. Following typical timing it would be:

Thurs P1 - 7pm; P2 - 10pm
Fri P3 - 7pm; Q - 10pm

Not a fan of the changes at Spa, but I guess they had no choice.

All access, all expense covered trip to the Vegas Grand Prix. Can also include gambling money, but that might be a bit much.

That's a good third place prize.

2nd place this year is a Paddock Club pass to Montreal.

1st place is a seat at the young drivers test to a team of your choosing.

I don't think many of us meet the definition of "young driver" but I love the idea.

I have a lovely man cave with F1tv access and a spare change tin...I can add a pole, but that'll be extra. Does that count?? .

I could probably get a legit tour of Alpha Tauri...but I need to be your guest. And you need to fly me there. Haha.

Lol 4 DRS zones.

Why even have zones?! Just YOLO the whole way around.

Like when drivers were allowed to use DRS anywhere on the track during qualifying. What was that? 2011? 2012? I recall Vettel was pretty damn aggressive because that RBR car was on rails.

Every time they add a DRS zone, God kills a kitten.

I'll reserve judgment until we see it in action, but nothing stands out to me as sacrilegious (at least from what I've read). I'm not exactly clear on Eau Rouge/Raidillon, but recent downforce levels have already effectively neutered it...fingers crossed these changes actually add back some spice

I kinda like the idea of adding back more gravel traps.

They removed the chalet.

Why does F1 even need a magic “go faster” button? Did it really become that impossible to overtake?

The aero package in the last couple formulas created quite a wake such that the following car would burn up their tires.

With the new formula the cars can follow much closer without hurting the tires making overtaking easier.

That is sad, but it wasn't very long ago that a lot of classic Euro races were in jeopardy of dying...so I'm glad to see the circuit cementing its long-term viability.

Watching some FP1 on TSN app. No commentary, just car sounds. It’s like those “audio up” laps they do in FP2 with sky sometimes. Except with the benefit of avoiding Crofty annoyingly interrupting 2/3 thru the lap.
