Wow didn't expect that at all.

Davidson is about to start speaking in NY, he's probably going to announce it

Well, that takes him off the board. Rangers are still in the hunt of a playoff spot.

Shesterkin's emergence has the ability to extend the Rangers' window by a lot

I think if Lundqvist was still "the guy" Kreider is gone.

Poop. Kreider on the open market interested me quite a bit.

A bit of a pet peeve, but shouldn’t it be re-sign and not resign? TSN using resign kinda doesn’t sit well with me.

Shesterkin has been incredible. Rangers now only 4 points out of a playoff spot.

McKenzie said a few weeks ago that the Rangers probably have to dump some combination of Strome, deAngelo, and Buchnevich if the Rangers re-signed Kreider.

However they don't need to make moves until the draft

So maybe Henrik really does get dealt? Although I guess not today if they're having a press conference soon they must be done.

If Buchnevich is available the Flames should pounce

Would love for the Flames to get Buchnevich

The term "Contract renewal" should be used. Re-signed, when spoken, sounds like resignation.

A seven-year deal will take Kreider until he's 36

I don't like that very much!

7 years at almost 29 years of age, wonder if that 6.5m will be a burden when the Rangers are contenders again.
