If there is any way he can play again, I'd bet he'll try and do it as I believe he wants those records so badly. most wins and most majors.

If you can get advantages why not use them? Pretty much no sports organization needs a single player more than the PGA Tour needs Tiger. If he asks for a cart to help him get through rounds I seriously doubt the PGA Tour will get in the way. Sponsors will pressure the tour, so will TV networks, and so will fans, and most players will not care either because it's Tiger.

I mean look at the media coverage right now of the accident. It's actually gross how much time the media is spending on this, it's newsworthy sure, but not 50 minutes out of every hour newsworthy. But Tiger is that big so they cover it endlessly.

See Casey Martin. The precedent has already been set.

Everyone is missing the point about this story. It isn’t about broken bones or recovery. It’s about the marines. USA! USA! USA!

If John Daley can be a professional golfer, I'm pretty sure Tiger can heal up and get back at it. It's not like he has to sprint from hole to hole.

Maybe he can ease into it by hitting the mini golf circuit.

as for him not picking up the tab of the seals. i can see both sides of the argument as i'd assume seals are likely making $200k per year; however, google tells me they make around $70k (that is stunning to me). Meanwhile he is worth hundreds of millions - even if the tab was $20k it is peanuts to tiger. you were an interloper in their world.

The PGA seems like a really strict, stagnant organization though. I think it would be a challenge for them to permit the use of a cart for any player even Tiger. If they feel that they need Tiger involved they will probably find some other way of getting him to contribute but providing a cart will probably be too much.

He can just do it from home. Virtual Golf is basically the same thing. Hit the screen. Putt your ball from the letter they tell you to. They even have all the famous courses.

He should have gone with a driver.

But seriously I hope and wish for a speedy recovery for Tiger.
He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019 by President Trump.

True. What about a workaround like four guys carrying him in a chair around the course. I’d tune into see that.

The PGA already allowed the use of a golf cart for Casey Martin, do you think they would hold back Tiger Woods? Having said that, if memory serves me correct Tiger was against the Martin case so I doubt he would even want to compete if he can't walk the course.

Correct me if I am wrong but the PGA never actually made the decision to allow Casey to use a cart. The decision was forced upon them via a law suit over a rights violation. The decision was made by the courts for the PGA. The PGA was not making any sort of ruling based on moral high ground and equality.

Yes the courts decided the issue, John Daly also used a cart during the PGA Championship a couple of years ago because of a bad knee as well, precedent has been set.

Tiger Woods eats dinner every day. I'd imagine, rarely alone. Is he supposed to pick up the tab every day?

No but when it's with people that are doing him a massive favour I don't think it's an odd suggestion

I think there is a difference between it being nice for him to pay and expecting him to pay.

Then getting mad at him when he didn't? To me that's ridiculous.

He had taken a lot of their time, I don't think it's an unfair expectation
