I don't think I've ever seen that before, Dimitrov serving at 6-3 in the second set tie-break, hits two doubles faults. Tiafoe serving at 5-6, hits a double fault to hand the second set to Dimitrov.

That second set was very high quality, but just a goofy ending. At any rate, we're going at least four sets and maybe five.

Oh no, Dimitrov appears to have tweaked something and gave the "no mas" to his box.
Edit: Grigor forced to retire at 4-1 down in set 4. Such a shame, but congrats to Frances. All-American semi-final on Friday.

American tennis on the rise.
Canadian tennis in the dumpster.
What is this? Every era but the last decade??

When our Canadian guys and gals are playing for their country (Davis Cup, BJK Cup, Olympics etc.), they tend to bring out their best tennis. Need to channel that same energy into tour play.

Yeah and that's great and all but the career trajectories of Felix, Dennis, and Bianca have totally stalled. Leylah is still in prime age and may have a run or two in her but will always be limited by her serve. After a long drought, Canadians were kind of spoiled for a bit with the immediate success of these young players but the tour is such a grind and not all of the talented youngsters can maintain the level necessary continue their ascension to the top. Still the hope is that the talent pipeline can churn out another generation.

Big Foe, Taylor and Tommy are 26/27 and would have been considered underachievers until this year. Shapo is 25 so time is running out, but I don't buy stock on 1HBH players in the current era anymore, sadly. Felix is 24 so a bit more runway. Diablo could carve out a niche similar to Milos, using a huge serve and FH to be almost unbreakable and pounce on any opponent serve lapse.
Leylah should settle into a consistently seeded grinder that gets around 3 matches deep in most tourneys, with non-slam title shots possible when the draw opens up. Bianca I don't see turning things around because she's caught in the fear of injury/lack of match play loop.
We'll see what happens this weekend, it's Team USA's best shot at a double major. Next year, Sincaraz locks everything down and nobody will get past a confident Iga/Saba firewall either.

Hubi Hurkacz recently parted ways with his coach Craig Boynton. He likely took Hubi as high as possible before things got stale, come on Felix, make the call and send Fontang packing, I'm just tired of seeing that sour face every time the camera pans to Felix's box.

Hopefully, Muchova can send the Brazilian doper/cheater packing today.

Haddad Maia taking a sketchy MTO with Muchova one game away from victory wasn't enough to disrupt Karolina from winning in straight sets 6-1 6-4. Great win!

Don't let a split second poor judgement from Draper ruin your perception of him, he's a good kid who's suffered a lot of injuries, this would be fantastic for him to reach the semis.

Yeah, I think he's a good dude and he'll use it down the road as a valuable lesson if something similar happens in the future.

Jack Draper has yet to lose a set in his run to the semi-finals. Playing some fine ball.
