Oh PLEASE let the DOJ have the goods on these f***heads. The last decade or so would make so much more sense if they connected the Russkies to the Rogan/Pool/Kirk/Rubin dopes.
The oddball positions these tools have taken on things that indirectly support the Putin Rus has to be explained by more than them just researching 'alternative facts'.
FFS, Texas has purged 1MM names from their voter rolls. The fix is in.
Oh there's more. Bexar county (San Antonio) is sending out voter registration forms in the mail and the dipchit republicans are threatening to sue. This is not for mail in voting, just a drive to get more people to vote.
They aren't even trying to hide it how much they want to rig this election. Their argument is that registration will invite bad actors to commit voter fraud.
I get what you're saying here, but would you give 3:1 odds and actually put money on that? My point isn't that you don't believe what you're saying... my point is that a statement of your belief in the odds is literally meaningless unless there's some commitment based on your belief.
This is a 1-trial event that can never be replicated to find out what the probabilities really were. Your odds can never be checked to see how right/ wrong you may be. The same goes for Nate Silver et al.... saying it's a 55/45 race is meaningless.
Sorry... I'm just tired of these meaningless predictions. The only poll that matters is the vote itself.
I find the value in the models is the relative change in models over time and the ability of the models to parse national numbers into state forecasts. The absolute odds don’t really matter.
Polls and models dont seem take into account what the campaigns plans are. One i saw floated, based on ad spending and ground resources was trump having a plan to get to exactly 270 by focusing only on PA, NC and GA. It leaves no wiggle room for him with other swing states. He has to win those three and be willing to abandon the others to do it.
Jesus the American South worships was a white, non-unionized business owner, who believed in the free market and that how rich you were was a measure of God's love.
Don't fall for that Bible stuff where Jesus was a poor brown carpenter who fed the hungry, believed we should help those in need, and be kind to each other.
That second version isn't very (American) Christian

I wish all these knuckleheads who want total freedom and strict adherence to religion (When it suits them) would move to a place like Somalia. Complete freedom, no laws apply. Good luck. Better bring lots of guns (and do a lot of praying) though.

Oh I’m certain there’s no goods on those guys, I truly believe they are stupid enough and gullible enough tthat RT got their cooperation for free and they didn’t even need to tell them. Just fed them stuff they wanted to hear and that was enough.

Honestly basically the entire Canadian landmass would be green. Anywhere that’s not a city is basically Trumpville. There’s just not the same level of rural vs urban population in Canada as in the US. But the demographic split is pretty much the same.
Just read a story about Liz Cheney planning to vote Harris. But when I hear these never-Trump Republicans talk about their dedication to the constitution, the more I think, your constitution allowed all of this! The safeguards you thought were in place were actually extraordinarily fragile, and your constitution needs to be re-written!
But then I wonder... in a world where biased, human judges are the ultimate arbiters of what's "constitutional," is it even possible to create a system that's truly immune to the type of corruption were seeing around the world? I don't think it is.
Tl;dr: A constitution that depends on human decency to operate as intended isn't worth the parchment it's written on.

All political systems rely on norms to be enforced. None are immune to a lack of human decency. The US is actually one of the more robust systems. Take for example Canada has an elected dictator that essentially has unlimited power.
Norms are what holds democracy together and why the trampling of norms should be immediately disqualifying

That's only sort of true in a majority situation and because of partisanship. If a PM was really out of control and held a majority, parliament could still remove them via no-confidence as long as the sitting PM's party voted with the opposition.
