I went to Dr. Van der Merwe in Mission - great. He is a hell of funny guy too, as all South African doctors seem to be. 15 minutes, just a bit of a tugging sensation. No issues afterwords. Would try again.

Thanks for the reminder, I've been putting this off. Just booked my procedure at Circle Medical in Copperfield. Cost is $130.

Dr. Eric Babins at the Southland Sports Medicine Clinic. Awesome guy, funny as hell too. It was a long time ago now and I forget the exact connection but he was involved somehow with some of the sports teams (Hitmen, Flames etc.) so the conversations with him were pretty interesting.

Got mine done up 17th at Intramed. It went as well as could be expected. Spent the whole time panicking that he was going to snip something and be in the worst pain of my life. Never happened.
I did feel a little humiliation though. Dude grabs a rubber band and ties you junk to your shirt, then at the end he whipped my underwear up and gave me juice and cookies. He was super nice, it was just kind of not fun.
Oh and a fun fact I learned was I only had one nut that worked my whole life. When I was 2 days old I had surgery on a non decended testicle and the master surgeon at the General just snipped my nut to make her fall. Never found out until the doctor was monkeying around and told me while I lay there.
Good times!

What is the procedure where it's just an ejection and not a snippy snip and it's completely reversible.

Came here out of interest (thinking of getting this done eventually myself) and was not disappointed, haha.
This is the funniest, most honest thread I have read on CP in a long time. Thanks you guys.

What do you mean? If I retained the name after the procedure, is that not a true testament to the success thereof? Mmmmmhmmmm.

So I survived. Not the most pleasant experience I've ever had, but it wasn't as bad as I built it up to be. The doctor was great and was quick with it all. He gave me some cookies for my troubles.

I don't think it is available yet. It's still just for monkeys.

Had it done earlier today at Intramed. The procedure was harmless and didn't hurt much. It's been about six hours and the best way to describe the pain is what it feels like after getting kicked on the balls, but it won't go away. Like its not so much the balls that hurt but it's that sick feeling up in your stomach.

Bumping this thread as I am considering getting this done. Any new places or doctors that are worth going to? How long in advance does one usually need to book this procedure?

I went for a consultation with him last year about getting snipped.
I was waiting in the examination room, when the adjacent door slid open. There was my Doctor at his desk with a dachshund in his lap.
Wiener Doctor with a Wiener Dog. For reals.
He ran for the NDP in a bi-election last year.
Anyway, the procedure went great - no complications and I did not need the pain medication. Two small punctures were made, leaving no scars. Was walking two days later. They never called for follow-up and I never had a sample tested later.

That's how my cousin ended up with his 3rd child.
