So here's my experience for going down to the Dome for my 12 o'clock session earlier today:
I arrived about 11.40am and they were taking names saying that at noon they would have everybody line up in order that you arrived. I was second on the list and by noon there were probably 10-12 others. I looked at the lists from earlier in the day and there were a similar number of people that showed up for each session. While waiting they had a good selection of hot and cold drinks, muffins, doughnuts and snacks.
We were called up a few minutes before noon and I was organized with my account number and exactly what I was looking for. Rep was very helpful, friendly and efficient. I was surprised that she was happy to put three different pairs on hold while I went with an usher to check them out.
The usher was great - let me spend plenty of time sitting in the three different locations and did not rush me at all. I was struggling to decide between two pairs. When we got back downstairs the Rep said not to worry and to take my time as the seats were held for me until 1pm.
I was in PL8 Row 11 (blacks) and have relocated to Sec 204 Row 20 (greens). My kids will miss the food vouchers but I'm pleased with the better seats. It would appear the seat selection was a little better if you went down to the Dome and I cannot fault the customer experience. In summary, I would recommend going down next year if you want to relocate and have the time.

Moved from pl1 to last row section 203. Loved pl1 value, but unfortunate there is a disconnecte from game. But switched, then i sold the whole season but kept playoff rights. Looking for half season with four tickets a game...damn kids(lol)

Are those the seats right in the middle of the row? They seem to change hands every season. It may be because they are right on the bend so youre kind of turned into each other a bit. That's the only issue I can imagine though, they should be good seats.

Here's a question for all you STHs: how many rows down would you need to move one section away from center.
For example, would you trade :
Row 13 210 for Row 19 Sec 211?
Row 13 210 for Row 18 Sec 211?
Row 13 210 for Row 17 Sec 211?
Row 13 210 for Row 16 Sec 211?
Row 13 210 for Row 15 Sec 211?
Row 13 210 for Row 14 Sec 211?

I'd say 3-4 rows higher in 211. If you get really close to 212 even more.

I may be extreme, but I was ok moving 2 rows down because I only had to move 2-3 SEATS further from center ice. You couldn't get me to move one section over.

Well will have to wait to see how my thinking is come October but I think I hit jackpot. Moved from whites to green. First row of green. Row below me $770 per seat more 7 rows below me is $3600 per seat more. Angles can't change that much in 7 rows.

Just curious, are these seats 3 and 4? They are my dads old seats if they are. Section 204 is a great section to be in.

Actually no, they are seats 7 and 8. I'm glad to hear Section 204 is a good place to be. I have some friends who have had green seats in the corners and they liked them - seems to offer pretty good value for money. All we need now is for the team to perform to expectations and in particular, to win at home a bit more next season!

Thanks for the pictures RM14 for the $7200 difference I'll stay in row 17.
Can always move again if I don't like them after a year.

Good to hear so many of you found better seats. I was really hoping to upgrade as I was tired up paying more money than the people 4 seats to the right of me. I was in the corner whites and either wanted to move lower and more center or get some lower oranges. Neither became available so now I am at a loss as to whether I keep the tickets or give them up this year.
How long is the hothouse waiting list if I were to pass up my seats this year and rejoin the hothouse?

Have you called into the Flames ticket office? They may still have an option for you; especially if you politely talk about cancelling. As others have mentioned, calling in seems to get better results. Myself, I'd look at Orange or Green seats.
As for the wait list, I think you'd be offered seats before the pre-season starts. (my guess.)

There's nothing for pairs. I called today. There are a couple options for 3, but you would have to add a seat. Probably not worth it.
