I know some people don't celebrate or hate christmas, so this thread might not be for you. But I love it, we put our tree up today and are kicking off the season watching Scrooged with Bull Murray and Karen Allen. It's a dark movie and always makes the rotation.
Share your holiday viewing, I for one always love to hear new suggestions!
Love Actually - multiple times
Christmas Vacation
Elf
It's A Wonderful Life
Those are the standard must-watches for us. Then there's usually a Home Alone viewing, and if we can find it on TV we watch A Christmas Story, solid movie.
The Holiday with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet is pretty good.
Last year I watched that new one with Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds and quite liked it.
Holiday shows in the archives include:
A Colbert Christmas - The Greatest Gift of All
Dr. Sueuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Mickey's Christmas Carol
X-Men S04E12 - Have Yourself a Morlock Little X-Mas
I tend to go back to childhood favorites. Other than Colbert, of course. That one hits different since Adam Schesinger died in 2020.
Love Actually ain’t bad but the more time passes the more it becomes obvious how problematic several of the jokes/scenes/scenarios are. Lots of body shaming. Not to mention the creep in love with his best friend’s wife.
The South Park where Randy and Santa do blow. Actually SP has several great Xmas episodes.

The one when Jesus saves Christmas by rescuing Santa after his sleigh gets shot down over Baghdad might be my favourite episode of any TV show ever
Batman Returns is mandatory viewing for me every Christmas season, and if you're looking for another superhero movie to watch Shazam as well is a great Christmas movie. And then in terms of horror movies set at Christmas I love all 3 Black Christmas movies, Silent Night Deadly Night (1-5), Krampus, P2, Gremlins, and the Lodge.

When the kids were younger, I made the mistake of letting them watch a Christmas episode of South Park with me. I assumed (stupidly) that it’s a Christmas episode, so it would likely be tamer than most of their stuff.
It was the Woodland Critters blood orgy episode. By the time I realized my folly, there seemed little point in shutting it off. What was seen could not be unseen.
“Never speak of this to your mother.”
To this day “blood orgy” is a byword with my kids for ‘dad screwing up.’

transplant99 caught most of mine.
I'd probably add;
Scrooged,
Home Alone,
and It's a wonderful life, which has become a bit of a tradition in the family.
