Bought the PS4 Pro w NHL for $369.99 from Shoppers, for their Black Friday Points event.
We used the 300k of points my wife had, to get $400 in value (I found out on the weekend that 100k in Shoppers Optimum/PC Points is equivalent to $100 at Shoppers). So essentially, we got $100 gift card to spend on whatever we wanted, so we got the PS4 for free, and an additional $30 worth of stuff.
I've been holding out on getting a PS4 since it came out, so this was a welcome surprise when my wife said we should get it. haha.
Also got
- Spiderman PS4 for $29 from Amazon
- PS4 Controller for $39 from Amazon

Semantics, but isn't it more like you spent $300 in points and got all of that stuff for like 25% off? Still a great deal though, but that's not exactly "free".
I was eyeing that deal myself to upgrade from the PS4 regular to pro, but I couldn't justify it with some huge bills (Expecting $15-25K) coming down the pipeline for a home reno. I thought it would be prudent to not spend the money/credit until all bills are paid off and I have a better idea on the cash flow of my finances.

I jumped on this deal for black Friday and it looks like it's still going on. $170 for this combo which is regularly $270 seems pretty darn good so I nabbed two. I especially wanted it for my garage door since my new place will be an attached garage, having this to lock/unlock via geo fence will be quite important in case we accidentally leave with the garage wide open.
I've been billing thousands of dollars to my credit cards for black Friday/cyber Monday for materials and supplies for my home reno. I've been saving easily 40% total on expected costs vs my budget on quite a few things I've been eyeing. I've been quite happy about that. I also nabbed a ring doorbell for dirt cheap by targeting someone who was letting it collect dust and comparing it to the black Friday deal on Amazon. TBF, he's happy he got something back for it (nabbed it as a Black Friday deal last year and never got around to installing it/wasn't compatible or something) and I'm glad I'm saving money on replacing the old ass intercom system that was installed in like the mid 1980s, plus modernizing.

They also don't look like they have a ton of rocker - so should ski on the long side. You're likely fine with the 177s.

Although the longer length K2 thing was a product of their practices when they still made skis on Vashon Island ten plus years ago. They'd measure post-press, while most manufacturers measure pre-press.

Subscriptions to the Athletic are 66% off today (just under $25 CDN for the year).
My one year subscription expired last month but I was happy to renew at that rate today.

FYI for yourself and anyone else who has a regular PS4, don't upgrade to the Pro, at least not right now. The PS5 will be coming out Nov 20 2020 and will be fully backward compatible, so it will play PS4 games with better performance than the PS4 Pro. That will also mean large discounts on existing PS4 hardware too I'm sure if you don't want to pony up the cash for the PS5

Yes, semantics. But my wife said she wouldn't approve if we had gone to Best Buy and paid out of pocket. lol.
I wanted the normal PS4 with the 3 game combo for $250, but it sold out at every Shoppers here in Regina. My wife just said buy this one. I wasn't going to complain. haha

Well this is probably stupid, but I bought a CRG9.

I resisted when it was 1350 for Black Friday, but once they lopped another hundred off, I just couldn't anymore.

Another good reason why I couldn't justify it. Plus I only rock a 1080P LED TV, so I would need to upgrade the TV as well.

Ah fair. Whatever the boss wants, but who cares about semantics when the boss somehow clears the purchase, right? Lucky guy!

I went to Best Buy looking for that same $250 deal on Friday, but they were already sold out instore and online. I stopped by EB Games and snagged the last one they had.
My wife approved as another Blueray, Disney+ and Netflix box. The gaming part is a bonus (for me) haha.

I can confirm that K2 skis continue to measure long.
I have a pair of 2019 Pinnacle 105 in a 191. They are 1935mm straight pull tip to tail. This is consistent with all the other K2 skis I've ridden over the years.
