Poor weather may have been a factor..

I know there's some CalgaryPuck posters in that area. Hopefully everybody is OK.

Wow. I hope everyone is alright. It looks like they are attending to the pilot on the roof.

The good feels tour took a prototypical 2020 nosedive. Welcome.to 2020.

Glad no one was hurt but man this is just another kick in collective nuts. Do nice things they said....

In one of the videos you can hear a pop as the pair goes by the camera. Looks to me like engine failure then he fought for a few seconds to recover it.

There is video on Twitter. There was definitely two ejections. I can't imagine anyone in the house it crashed into survived that. Thoughts and prayers to all involved.

It looked like when they were ejected they were fired straight at a bad angle - I didn't see any parachutes open.

Looks like something went wrong early with the plane and he does the steep climb to maybe attempt a return back to the airport. Once he realizes he can’t make it he ejects. First pop should be the canopy getting blown, then the second is the ejection seat itself.

Bad day. I sure hope everyone will be OK.

Hings and her daughter rushed to the backyard of the home and found a person who appeared to be deceased.

“I saw a deceased female with catastrophic injuries,” Hings said. “It looked like she hit a tree. It’s insane. It’s not supposed to happen. This [the Snowbirds tour] is supposed to be a good thing and she died.”

in the last few minutes I got a tweet notification from @RCAF_ARC and the tweet started "It is with a heavy heart..." and I clicked on it to read the whole thing and they had already deleted the tweet. They are presumably retooling the wording and will post again soon.

What a tragic situation.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that one member of the CF Snowbirds team has died and one has sustained serious injuries. We can confirm that we have contacted all primary family members of those involved. More information will be communicated in the near future.

They tweeted again just now to say that the surviving member's injuries are serious but non-life threatening.

Man that's crazy, I saw them when they flew over Edmonton on Friday. That is so sad.
