Is there a place in Calgary to get a really good Philly cheesesteak? Most searching online has everyone laughing at the idea of finding anything resembling a quality philly cheasteak here.
No. You'd be better served trying yourself.
It wasn't on the list of the reasons I moved to Seattle, but definitely was on the list of benefits. Canada thinks a beef dip is somehow equivalent to a Philly Cheesesteak.

Don't get me wrong, I love a beef dip with cheese, onion, and peppers. But that's not a cheesesteak! Just call it a loaded beef dip or something, and also offer a proper cheesesteak
Had the best meal in a long time at Chairman's down in Mahogany last week. Place seems to be really gaining popularity as it is decently hard to get in.
I know on Mondays, they have a happy hour and 20% off food on the bar menu (which includes lots of meal options).
Wednesdays are super popular. I think its $110 for a 3-course meal for 2 people.

Worth checking out. We'll be back for sure!
the distance to this place is the only reason I'm not broke and 400 pounds.
then again, that might still happen now that Ryuko has opened a location in Christie Park.
Which one did you do? and which 4 restaurants (if you are able to share)? I'm looking into tryin one of these.
It was with Taste The City.
We did the 17th Ave one. Group of 8.
- The Coup (vegetarian).
- Comery Block (BBQ).
- Milpa (Mexican).
- Gringo Street (Latin).
You arrive at a specific time at the first restaurant, then you receive a text when it's time to stroll to the next one. You get a few small plates, and a blurb about the place along with a mocktail. You can choose to order alcoholic beverages if you wish, but they are not included in the cost..

Absolute worst meal I have ever had, did the YYC Expo set menu, appetizer was disgusting and the steak was worse than eating a hockey puck. 4 of us left before dessert. They advertise as a high end restaurant but their food wouldn't pass as a truckstop.
Absolutely horrible experience all around avoid at all costs

Wasn't that the Anatolia Turkish restaurant for awhile? Before that it was the 2nd failed version of Chicago Chophouse? That restaurant is always going to struggle from lack of parking and being on the edge of downtown. I went to look for some bad reviews for lols but they seem pretty positive from Google/Yelp. Maybe staged by owner?

Yup thats the spot, filter the google reviews by lowest and thats the true depiction of this place. The worst part is we still had to pay for our inedible meal, the manager knocked off 25% lol. We just wanted to get out and eat somewhere else at that point

Scozzafava did an excellent one in collaboration with Class Clown. They're just about to open their storefront on 17th Ave too. So keep your eyes open for it.
