My Oiler fan cousin is calling Matt Turtlechuk cause he wouldn't fight Kassian. Why would he waste his time fighting that plug. Maybe if McDavid or Drai would fight Prout. lol. I have to admit the picture is pretty funny though.

Eh it’s not a shocking revelation given Tkachuks behaviors. Then again he didn’t come up in that NHLPA poll as best or worst trash talker so who knows how universal that opinion is. If it was you think he’d had rated higher on those lists. (Either one)
However he said a ton of good things about Gio, ripped Burns and Karlsson and endorsed Gio for the Norris so I can’t be all that upset at him.

As someone who cheered for Kesler and Burrows for years, it is enjoyable to cheer for players who have that element to their game that makes them hated by other fanbases. Tkachuk is so good at his game, where he is big, tough, a bit dirty, and plays the game with an edge.
That being said this is the second time that this has been said by NHL players now with Khadri saying similar things a year or so ago.

Just watching the highlights on ESPN. They did not show the goals, only the stuff between Matt and Doughty. My opinion is that I would like to see Matt take him on in a fight, I think it’s a fair matchup and would set the tone for the playoffs. He could drop Doughty, spend a couple of hours working with one of the boys and take Doughty on in LA.
