Well it’s a line from Blades of Glory so it’s not exactly a CP inside joke.

Flames Win 3-1 Over Canucks
Currently procrastinating so I re-watched parts of the game I had recorded. Man Tkachuk could’ve had 5 pts last night off his sexy ass behind the net feeds. I think he made 3-4 in the first period alone. #### me is he good, hockey IQ is off the damn charts
I also thought the Canucks looked terrible, most of their chances came off odd bounces, the flames really didn’t give them anything, even their goal was lucky. The score really flattered them imo, just as it did in the other meetings. Top line wasn’t as bad as many people were making it seem, they could’ve had multiple goals if finishing was up to par, and lines 2 and 4 dominated all night. Very solid performance

That’s not acceptable this year as we gear up for a playoff run. If he’s hurt- sit him. If he’s not- what’s going on?
That’s all I’m saying for all the sensitive ones.

If he's hurt, then for the good of the team, sit him. I've mentioned before that if he IS healthy and he is given space, he is a great one-way C /sniper. Unfortunately, he is now being tied up by tight checking and unfortunately he doesn't have the speed, grit or defensive awareness to bring anything else to the game. That's the main reason the top line has struggled of late. 23 = Mononymous.

Yes, because drawing the toughest matchups and opening up the ice for the rest of his line, as well as lines 2-4 means he isn't bringing anything else to the game....

What I find funny is that if MT did that, people (Van) would be losing their minds and probably call for a suspension.

I agree. He was hit with enough force that it knocked his mask off. You don't a see mask fly like that very often.

Lindholm has struggled way more than Monahan in the last while IMO. He's not been as dogged on the puck and created turnovers like he used to. He has also not carried the puck as much to give defenders something other than Johnnie to worry about.
To say Monahan lacks defensive awareness is silly. He's really not that bad, and until Lindholm arrived, he was always the best defensive forward on that line. Dopes he blow an assignment sometimes? Sure. But he's the centre and has a lot more to do. He doesn't get to float near the blue line like Johnny. And un less Peters plays a lot of hard changes, he gets the other team's top line when he doesn't get their top checkers.

Monahan could of played the exact same last game but if he scored a goal on one of his two great chances nobody would be saying anything negative about him. Monahan has never been a player that you notice much until he scores a goal.
