Garland is half the size of Nurse or Bear, and he just worked both of them during a really slow change by the Coyotes

If you are blaming Lucic for the Flames poor start you don't have a clue what you are talking about. The Flames have been average since the all Star break because their top players aren't playing well.
Anyway what's done is done...Neal can score this season and get the Flames the pick. The sooner the better.

one thing that I noticed is that the Coyotes defense is never given the green light to pinch. It really makes me appreciate Giordano and Hanafin a little more. I would put Ekman Larrson in that category of talent, but he is always prematurely backskating at the line, just like the rest of the team.
Clearly systemic, but I would use that one player differently. And to be fair, maybe they would let him be more aggressive if Hjalmarsson was healthy.

What happens first? Neal gets #21 or Lucic gets #1. Be an interesting poll question actually.

No the hilarity is that neal needed to be shipped out because of a bad attitude (which is fair he wasn’t good) but that Lucic is better. He was so awful in Edmonton he couldn’t play another season there. Think about that.

They also probably arent giving up a dozen odd man rushes against per game like the Flames either.

You are missing his point
At this point the Flames will either get a third or not
A third is better
That’s it
You are arguing with someone about something they aren’t even talking about

Look every single poster on CP knew that Lucic was an awful hockey player until he joined the Flames. Then for a number of posters he became much better. At the same time Neal became much worse than he was before the trade. Now those posters realize how much Lucic brings to the table, qualities that are not seen on the scoresheet or even to the naked eye.

Well, both defensemen pinching is pretty stupid. That's the Calgary way. Maybe they are trying to Babcock Peters.

What are you even going on about? What does this have to do with us hoping the Flames get the pick?

I like how Tippet doesn't even bother playing anyone else.

Ha. Ha. Tippett takes a timeout because he has no one else to play in OT.

That's actually kind of impressive. Did Draisaitl play 4+ mins in OT?

So my $500 bet that flames would finish ahead of Edmonton might not be happening I guess.

The Oilers can go right back to sucking anytime now!!! I despise that clown show organization!

Well there it is. Oilers 10 points above the flames in the standings.

I don't get the 180. For both teams. Last year was so great. Maybe it was Neal's voodoo magic all along? I can't think of a better explanation. Sad face.
