I just assumed that Tak Renond was the supervisor. Can’t trust other pirates. Only droids.
That is my guess as well. Tak is the Supervisor. Him, and his maybe some crew, are living the highlife stockpiling gold and hiding behind a bunch of droids. Odd he never got around to securing his ship, but oh well, maybe he thought it was lost/destroyed.
I almost couldn't give two ####s what happens with thrawn, purple hair, ahsoka, space Aladdin, and the rest. They're all so uninteresting.
It's hard to imagine the Hound as a thoughtful, stoic and enigmatic "grey" force user, but if he can pull it off it could be good.
McCann was just so good at giving off that wounded unconfident vibe in GoT, it's hard to imagine him doing anything different.
We'll see how he does with this new role. He was either so good as the Hound, because he's a one trick pony or because he's actually just a good actor.

I'm curious to see the range he can bring.
I wonder if they looked at the Hound/Arya arc and saw how that could translate to Baylan/Shin as a rogue pairing.

It's funny and tragic that the one aspect of the seres that drew on original ideas was by far and away the best part.
Think what they could come up with if they stopped trying to borrow or tie everything back to former characters and the Skywalker saga.
But think of how cool it would be if Jod was Baylan's padewan during order66, left for dead and recruited as an acolyte and became 13th brother but now he reports to Thrawn and the treasure he is actually after is Grogu, but once he escapes At Attin he will use the credits to build the knights of Ren before being deposed by Ben skywalker. Oh and we need to add in a C-3PO cameo there somewhere...
Like sands through the hourglass...

Even in the fictional universe of star wars conspiracy theories are lame.
Conspiracy theory? That came directly from the desk of Kathleen Kennedy!

Well that was a better ending than a lot of the other Star Wars shows, but still felt a little wobbly on the landing to me. I like that it felt like an end to the specific story while leaving open a future with some of these characters.
Spoiler!
The good
It had that goonies feel at the end where the kids had a grand adventure, got out alive and had a nice hug with their parents to go to credits.
I think the short backstory for Jod fit well in the narrative and in his actions. The want to keep things civil, but also wanting the treasure worked. I could believe how his short training gave him empathy (he seemed to actually have a soft spot for those kids), but having his master killed in front of him is sure to mess anyone up. I'm glad his ending was left open as well. Jude Law really chews up scenery and I would love to see that character again.
Supervisor called him out pretty quickly on his lies too. Good droid.
I love me a good speeder bike chase. Knowing what the show is, I didn't really feel the stakes were too high, no way they were killing anyone.
Neel manning the turbolaser was fun as was KB holding 33's head as he flew.
The not so good
Civilian population on the ground.. but it's pirates! so lets blow them out of the sky right on top of a city. X-wing pilots need some better rules of engagement.
One droid to rule them all? I would have expected some sort of redundancy for all of the security protocols, but I guess I can believe the Republic would also leave it all to one droid.
I would have liked to close the loop on Tak Renold. He was probably one of the corpses on the ship at the beginning, but it would have been nice to more explicitly show the ending of One-eyed Willy.
The ending still felt rushed to me. I'll have to give it another watch, but I feel like I could have used a little more of the kids navigating back to the ship avoiding pirates and maybe some better stakes with the X-wing fight.. I'm not sure, it just felt like it could have been flushed out a little more.
The Best
No tie-ins to any of the other works out there.. no lead up to the First Order.. no Luke saving the day.. no using other known characters. Just a self contained story using the lore of the universe without trying to shoe horn it to the Saga.
Overall enjoyed the series, fun coming of age story that was immersed in the Star Wars universe instead of relying on it. I'd give it an 8/10.

I actually and surprisingly really enjoyed it, maybe because the casting was really strong, especially with Jude Law, who was amazing in it. There were lots of homages in this, they took liberally from the Wizard of OZ, and the Pirates of the series of movies.
The effects were fantastic, and how they filmed the whole thing was amazing to look at.
Spoiler!
I was kind of surprised in a way that the supervisor was a droid, with the way they were dropping hints, but it did work.
The parents all got redemptive scenes in this one.
Not all Jedi who survived order 66 came out like Kal Kestis, of Kanaan, Jod's story was sad and tragic, and you could see he was conflicted as he watched the Pirate ship crash.
This was its own story, we didn't get any cameo's no Hera or Luke or Mando coming in to save the day, instead we got a squadron of X wings and a couple of B wings, and in the only real homage, they used the ship killer weapons that we first saw in Rebels.
I loved that the Supervisor saw completely through Jod's story thanks to stunningly Palpatine, he continues to do the best for the galaxy from errr beyond the grave.
Could there be a season two? Possibly if they want to continue to follow the kids, who's actors did a fabulous job. Or they could pick up a new story with new characters, or follow Jod, I don't think he's really redeemed in any way, his darker bitter world view points to that.
I have to admit going into this series I was temped not to watch it, because it was kid centric. But I'm glad I did, it was what Star Wars needed.
A simple fun goonies type of adventure.
Spoiler!
I might be daft, but I think that the post scene credits with the drawings of the Jedi was the story of Jod before he became a pirate, that could hint at a Jod specific series, it might be fun for them to go into his back story.
