Surprised there isn't a separate thread about this yet so close to release. I'm pretty excited about the coming Bond movie. From what I've seen in the trailers and reviews from people who've already watched it, this is stacking up to be one of the best Bond films ever. Far cry from the incomplete script that was Quantum of Solace.
Can't wait till November 9th. Wonder why MGM opted for a staggered release instead of world wide global release. Any CPers in the UK that can chime in with an opinion in without spoiling it for us?
I enjoyed Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace quite a bit. Very happy with the direction of Bond with Daniel Craig as 007.

Casino Royale was probably the best Bond movie ever. Quantum of Solace was forgettable hot garbage.
EDIT: Also now that I've listened to it I'm not all about that Adele theme song. The lyrics are generally nonsense where she just repeats the title over and over again and the theme is pretty boring. I give it a solid MEH

I honestly thought it would be hard to top Pierce Brosan as Bond, especially Goldeneye (so many fond memories of that franchise), but Craig is making a very strong case for himself.
See Goldeneye was great in the sense of providing a nostalgic throwback "Cheesy-Bond" style that was entertaining, but the current iteration adds considerably more depth. Also, every Brosnan Bond film OTHER than Goldeneye was pretty much crap.
I would have liked to have seen Brosnan play this type of bond now instead of his more comedic role. He just seems more fitting of a character than Craig.
Pierce Brosnan sucked some serious a** by the end of his run I thought. Critics are saying that Skyfall might even be better than Casino

I don't disagree with these comments at all. I know for a fact that a lot of it is nostalgia speaking to me. Goldeneye coming out and then the N64 game, to me, Brosnan just had the look of James Bond down to a T. In terms of script and story, Casino Royale blows the latter Brosnan stuff out of the water.
After significant research and in light of being underwhelmed by Adele, IMO the best Bond themes:
You Only Live Twice
A View to a Kill
Diamonds are Forever
Tomorrow Never Dies (Sheryl Crow has an awesome voice for this)
The World is Not Enough
From Russia With Love
You Know My Name
Goldeneye (possibly the best ever, go Tina)
Live and Let Die
Jesus I totally don't remember the Madonna one but it makes zero sense. How is this a Bond theme?! Just awful. I think the QofS Jack White theme was okay but not quite "Bond" enough. Chris Cornell did such an awesome job of modernizing the classic Bond title theme feeling without straying too far from its roots.
You missed 'The Living Daylights' on the best themes list.
Timothy Dalton is hugely underrated as Bond. Two of the best movies, and really solid performances.
He should've done more. That little hitaus screwed that up.
Goldeneye was a solid movie though. So was the theme.
The only themes I'm not that fond of was Die Another Day, and Quantum of Solace. Coincidentally, both of those movies I wasn't all that fond of either.
Got my IMAX tickets for next Thursday at 7pm. Gone to every James Bond movie since Living Daylights on opening weekend with my mom. It's our tradition. Can't wait!!
Brosnan definitely looked exactly like one would imagine Bond looking, Craig is good enough though. More of a Bourne slick style to him and less of the overly machismo narcissistic one that is what the Bond character really should be, but whatever, if the new movie is good it doesn't matter.
