My absolute favourites were simple. Potvin, Vanbiesbrock, Richter, Broduer. Roy with the Avs.

My all time was Belfours. Didn't matter which team it was, it was an eagle. Beezers masks were awesome. I loved Andy Moogs Bruins mask. And I liked Olaf Kolzigs as well.
And who can forget a pair of whalers in Sean Burke and Kay Whitmore? Kirk McLeans 94 mask, oh and Brian Hayward Sharks mask was awesome.

I don't like the backwards "C" on Markstrom's mask. It looked bad on Hiller's and it looks bad here.

Yeah, that always was irritating

I actually think it doesn't look bad on this mask; I think maybe because of the angle and also because it is incomplete.

Actually, because it’s rotated weirdly you can maybe look at it as being downward facing but but reversed.

Well, no. You can't; but this is exactly what I was getting at. The angle, size and missing bits help to make it look a lot less weird than Hiller's.

Based on where the hole is, it doesn't look like he did...

The FLAMES down the middle of the top looks awful.

Ugh DaveArt. Thankfully this is one of his less "busy" designs.

Is that going to make it read "LAMES"? Did he get this done locally in Vancouver before making the move?

The hole for the snap is on the “L”, so it’ll look like “F AMES” when looking at from above.

He did a similar design with one of his Canucks masks (with the name running down the middle) — not exactly the most creative but not the worst either.

I don't post often but I figured this would be interesting for a bunch of you. JboAirbrush a Calgary based artist is doing Carey Price's new mask: Biomechanical Skull. He's my buddy, so obviously I am biased, but I think he blows Daveart out of the water.

Not sure how to embed videos or pics but here is the link if you want to take a look.

He should be doing Markstrom & BSD's masks!

Kick ass mask as a stand-alone item. Unbelievable talent!

As a goalie mask for a Canadians jersey, I’m not a fan. Goalies start to lose me when they go too far off the team theme and colours.

A drastic departure from what Price usually goes with, but that is awesome. Great theme and great execution.

That is a great mask, being a Calgary resident and now with some exposure, hopefully we see him do a Blasty mask for Markstrom or Rittich.

Needs more invisible wizard tech. 6 out of 10.

Seriously though, that is an unbelievable mask. Definitely a next level design and execution by the artist. And a bit "out there" as well but if that's what Price wants to wear then more power to him.

Hopefully this leads to more NHL work for this guy -- locally and otherwise.
