One last lunch to shoot the #### with my best friend that passed away when we were 16. I am sure I'll say the same with my folks when they pass

Yeah maybe I should have said famous person, I would have loved to have lunch with either of my parents before they passed but I was 3000 miles away and they both died suddenly.

Neil deGrasse Tyson was the first to come to mind too, but since you mentioned him, I'll say Chris Hadfield. Been to a few of his speaking events over the years, I could listen to him for hours and not get bored. A one on one conversation would be amazing

I'm sure there are a bunch of people but someone who's a good conversationalist for...a conversation would have to be a big criteria for me. As such I'd probably choose Joe Rogan, as the convo would probably not be superficial. As for Neil Tyson, I was interested in him early on, but hearing his recent interviews he likes to interrupt and talk over people. Really comes across as condescending. Not a fan anymore.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is a strong pick. Barack Obama would also be fascinating.

Putin, just to ask him over and over again WTF is wrong with him. Maybe I could double up an add Danielle Smith for the same conversation.

Jerry Seinfeld and the lunch setting is smack dab in the middle of his car collection.

John Daly. During his “prime time”.
Lunch would be at Hooters - probably be a longer lunch than any other posted.

My friends and I used to play a game called "Dinner Party" where you get to draft your ultimate dinner party table.
Everyone got seven picks, the only conditions were that everyone selected had to be alive, and - obviously - that once someone had been selected to be at another table, you could not take them for your table. The draft would go in snake-format, decide order however you want, usually rock-paper-scissors.
To answer GGG's question below: in the game, the assumption is all members of the dinner party are excited to be there, BUT you do have to take into consideration possible interpersonal conflicts. So, sure you could draft both Trump and Hillary ... buttt...

So does this person want to be there?
Like in the world of sports coaches there are lots of interesting people who would be neat to talk to but a lot of them are #######s who your lunch might be them sitting silently. Same with many celebrities. So am I guerenteed good engagement and they will have an interesting conversation and be open in answering questions or do I need to take there level of interest in having lunch with me (near zero) into account?

Mitch Hedberg or Ernest Hemingway.
If they have to be alive either Obama or Michael Jordan. Probably Jordan because if the conversation got stale you gamble with him.
