Full disclosure is I used to hang out with some of those guys (A-Team, Infernos and The Dudes even played a show in my basement), so maybe I'm biased, but that movie did have heart, soul and a really good storyline.

Here's an unpopular opinion, it seems: I think FUBAR 2 was even better. Great movie, that one. I think their story writing improved a lot from one to two.
Maybe I'm like ten years too young for this, GenX seems to love it, I barely remember a thing from the 25 minutes I was able to sit through, but I've never had a movie land so flat so quickly.

I went to see 10,000 BC on a date. The movie was as bad as the date but I didn’t walk out.

I did walk out on Mother! It was pretentious crap from Aronofsky and I couldn’t sit through it. Some of my favourite movies are from Aronofsky but he can drown in his own pretentiousness sometimes.

I have one. Saw a movie at CIFF long ago.

There was a horror movie, George Wendt was in it. King of the Ants, I think

Awful. Couldn’t do it. I walked out

I have never walked out on a movie, not once. I have fallen asleep in theatres multiple times. I saw Tommyknockers once with my brother. We both fell asleep, only to wake up hours later to find the damn movie was still going on. I couldn't believe how long and wretched the movie was. I know it was "made for TV", but good lord was it wretched. We used to pick movies at random for Halloween, but after that (and The Langoliers) I always screen my Steven King movies.

Another vivid memory I have is The Irishman. I sat and watched the whole thing (Garneau in Edmonton). Yet we sat behind this obnoxious couple that was doing coke the entire time. I could see them snorting it, then ducking into the bathroom every ten minutes to get more. They were talking and on their phones throughout the movie. Midway they got up and left, and never returned. I assume they ran out of product. Maybe Garneau was where they dealt... Otherwise why pick The Irishman (at Christmas) of all movies?

I get why you thought that. I was surprised it was so critically acclaimed, but I was in the mood to just passively sit and watch their weird little lives so had a fine time with it. In a different mood, though? Would have been bored to tears.
