I'm guessing if this weren't a major Roger wouldn't be playing right now. Even if he wins, wouldn't be shocked to see him pull out of the tournament after tonight.

What are you seeing? To me he doesn't look hurt, so much as indifferent. In the Rogers final it was obvious something was very wrong. I'm watching it without commentary so maybe you or they have picked up on something I'm not seeing.

EDIT: That was a much better service game. Second serve ace to close it out.

I'm watching him move about as smoothly as you'd expect for a 36 year old. But yeah that's obviously not a good thing for a guy who's been moving like a 21 year old all year. There's some indifference sure, but his movement all match has been poor. I mean Tiafoe has more net approaches, that says it all right there. Fully healthy Roger is coming to net routinely, especially against a youngster.

Fed just hasn't hit any approach shots, from what I can tell. Basically been on his heels the whole time.

It's been a strange match, both guys with 10 more errors than winners and both hovering around 50% first serve. Tiafoe is going for broke a bit more, but Roger is playing far more passively than we're used to seeing.

Fed with an early break in set 3, I have a feeling he's going to close out this set and the next one quite quickly.

It finally dawned on me who Tiafoe looks like: PK Subban.

To give you an idea of how much Tiafoe's level has dropped, since his last winner he's had 16 unforced errors.

All of a sudden, a 5th and deciding set is a distinct possibility.

It's almost certain. That was a joke of a service game from Federer.

Going to 5th. I've never heard of this American dude before but if he beats Federer the hype train will be huge.

Just like last night, the word is compelling. This isn't particularly well played at all, but here we are and the big advantage for Tiafoe is there is the fifth set breaker so he just needs to hold serve.

Where was that service game last set? Super inconsistent.

He's actually been pretty consistent, he's been around 50% first serves in all match. This is the poorest he's served all year by far, maybe in a few years.

There have been easy 40-0 holds and games where he hits zero first serves. It averages out to 50% but it seems to vary massively game to game.

Terrible drop shot from Tiafoe there to hand Roger the break.

Holy ####. That was some guts. Last two points were absolute monster winners from Tiafoe.
