Great game last night as the Flames were utterly dominant in the PP. Today they get right back to it to face the Wild. I want to see much more of what we watched last night. Fast passes, hard skating and some solid physical play.

Pregame links posted by Tsawwassen in the very next post!

I'll add the lineups and Fancy stats once they become available

Nice and early pregame links for the rare weekday matinee.

This is an odd one. Weekday matinee on a back to back. Weird scheduling.

Start time has to do with CBA holiday time, and not because the 23rd is a holiday in the twin cities?

Weird start time probably has to do with the Vikings playing MNF tonight.

Hopefully we see more of the Flames we saw last night. That first line goal really seemed to energize the teams creativity. One nice tic tac toe play and suddenly we finally gett back to moving the puck around on the PP instead of everyone sitting still waiting for Johnny to find them. Amazing what a little confidence can do.

Go Flames Go!

As someone posted previously there's a Vikings game with a 6:15 MST kickoff.

On the lineups, are those just last night's lines? Ward said this lines were to match up with a heavier Dallas team. Would make sense for Dube, Frolik, and maybe Killington to draw back in especially since they'll be rested.

less than a 20 hour turnaround just before christmas seems really unfortunate

Oddly I think it might be good. They are feeling it after last night, and have a fresh goalie coming in whose capable.

I'd hope they are excited to go and pound the wild before break.

The Wild are at home, ready to start their Xmas break this evening. Give them a reason to quit early.

It's a ridiculous schedule.

Dallas to Minnesota with a 20 hour turnaround, the day before the Christmas break.

I honestly think going with the "Bigger" lineup last night had probably just as much to do with the shorter turnaround than anything.

Get some fresh legs in on the back to back.

There are three games in the Pacific time zone with regular 7:00pm PT start times, so there doesn't appear to be any league mandate to get things wrapped up early.

There is only one other game being played today with a local start time before 7:00pm. The Leafs and Canes play in Toronto at 2:00pm ET.

I'm okay with the 3pm start time. I can watch it while I'm the only person in my office stuck at work today!
