Milos takes the opening set 6-4. He's serving very well and moving much better than he was in Melbourne.

Milos wins it 6-4 6-4. Felix played very well, the Milos serve was working tonight and as mentioned previously, he definitely appears to be in better shape that he was a couple of months ago.

I thought Felix would be highly disappointed in his serving last night. He left way too many balls right up in the hit zone that Raonic absolutely lambasted back at him. Aside from that, the kid showed some guts and the shot making needed to be a top 50 player on tour. He should get a few more wild cards heading into the summer based on this showing.
As for Milos, he is looking much better physically like you say and had a real shot to get back into the thick of it with the draw wide open Sousa-bhagdatis-sock as his potential path to the semis....pretty good for a 1000 level event. For me the big test is this next match. If he has a similar performance, it will do wonders for his confidence.

I can't believe Sousa won, I turned it off with Sasha leading 4-1 in the third set as I had to get up at 3:30 this morning, are you telling me Joao rolled off five straight games?!?
/Of course, he did the same thing in the first set, he was down 5-2 and won that set 7-5.

Yes, you are absolutely correct, too many of Felix's serves were right in the middle of the box against Milos last night. You can get away with that in juniors and Challenger events, but those types of serves are going to be easy pickings on the ATP tour. It's still hard to believe how good he is at 17 though, it'a a fun time to be a Canadian tennis fan.

His game reminds me a lot of Kyrgios from the standpoint of raw power and athleticism. It is easy to forget how young he is, but when he does mature and gain more experience, Canada is going to have a top 3 most countries would kill to have.

Venus vs. Serena tonight at Indian Wells - Might not have quite the same cachet as it once did, but sure to get plenty of attention down south.

please tennis gods do not let Felix turn into a Kyrgios. imagine that, plus Shapo turning into a Tomic. that's a plot for a horror movie.

lol - I don't think we have to worry, I mean every time the camera pans to Shapo's mom, she looks like she's just swallowed some cod liver oil. She looks like the type of mom who runs a tight ship.

Roger advances 6-2 6-1 over Krajinovic in 58 minutes - Is it possible he's like fine wine and getting better with age?

I'd like to see him play in Paris, but if he decides to pass, I won't begrudge him for that decision.

I would take Felix rounding into a Kyrgios talent in a heartbeat. Leave the personal issues aside. As a player with a much better mental makeup, Felix could exploit that talent into much more than Nick has or will.

The beginning of the end appears to be upon Genie. Too bad she lost focus of what was important and let it derail what could have been a lengthy and lucrative pro career. The only way back now will be slugging it out on ITF events and I personally don't think she has that kind of work ethic in her.

Just happy to see Chung advance over Berdych last night - Even Berdych's girlfriend looked bored watching the match.
