Oh, god. Give me Thierry Henry any day over Zlatan.

I think you're forgetting he played for Barcelona, and Ajax as well. You're Zlatan-hate is pretty evident, but it's pretty hard to deny that he has talent.
When he played in Serie A, he was alongside Figo, and Patrick Viera... playing against an AC Milan team with the OG Ronaldo. Serie A has certainly changed since but during the 2005-2010 era, those were some of the best teams ever assembled in Europe

No, those 65 games include Barcelona.
I didn't deny he had talent. I literally said he was a star, he's just not one of the greats of his era.

exactly. H's been a great striker, but that's about it. Shame he's pissed away most of his prime in France and Italy.

Lots of rumours out there that Tuchel is gonna take over for Wenger this summer, and that Tuchel has turned down Bayern. Could be a negotiating ploy, but if Arsenal could pull that off that'd be a nice hire.

Tuchel has indeed turned down Bayern and has apparently already signed a contract somewhere for next season, but it will not be Arsenal - that rumour has been strongly denied in German papers today. It'll probably be either Chelsea or PSG.
The most hilarious thing in all of this is that Bayern have no plan B. Hoeneß has tried for months to convince Heynckes to stay for another year, and now that this didn't work, they turned to Tuchel ... just to be turned down. Everybody thought they'd have a plan up their sleeves, now it turns out that they are just clueless. Fun to see. They were a much better-run club while Hoeneß was in prison.

There is always David Moyes. Always.

People are forgetting the Serie A used to be really good in the early 2000s.
2003: 3/4 CL Semi Finalists (Milan Won)
2004: 1/8 CL Quarter Finalists
2005: 3/8 CL Quarter Finalists (Milan Choked)
2006: 3/8 CL Quarter Finalists
2007: 2/8 CL Quarter Finalists (Milan Won)
It then went downhill after 2007 - There was the Calciopoli scandal that began in May 2006 and everything that came with it in the 18 months that followed and the league as a whole never really recovered.
Before that though there was probably a 5 year stretch (2003 to 2007) where the Serie A was the best league in the world and it was capped off with Italy winning the 2006 world cup.
Really it was a 20 year stretch from about 1987 to 2007 where the Serie A was THE top class league. 6 CL winners, and 7 more finalists over that stretch. (Spain had 9 winners/finalists in that span, England 7) Plus 13 of 20 Ballon d'Or winners played in the Serie A in the season they won the award during that time period.
After 2007 though is when Italian football really dropped off (both domestically & internationally), and the Spanish, German, and English leagues took over.

Salah is this years league MVP by several miles. Once again, he's the difference between Liverpool predictably dropping points against cellar dwellers and somehow grinding out a win.

Sure nice finish by Salah but that was a joke... Liverpool got a gift from the referee.
Mane with a clear intentional handball with over 30 minutes left already on a yellow... No card for some crazy reason
Palace should have played a man up the last 35 minutes... Instead liverpool goes on to get the winning goal late.
The big clubs have consistently been getting favourable reffing decisions on anything borderline and fergie time extensions going their way for years imo..

Jesse Lingard is in god mode today.
Should be nailed on as a starter this summer alongside Sterling and Kane.

There's a reason not a single PL ref is going to the World Cup. Been a pretty terrible year of reffing even by PL standards.

3-0 at half time
...for West Ham. I probably should clarify that, haha. But they've actually played really well.
Also, all of the stewards are wearing football boots. They're ready to chase down pitch invaders!

Just going to post the exact same thing. And you can make a very good case that Benteke was fouled in the box and Palace should have got another PK to tie it up. I don't care about either team, but that was a joke.

good to see Arnautovic continuing his fine form. He was electric for our national team last week too ... such a good footballer when he's on.
