LF: Players - NW Thursday Shinny @ Triwood @2:45pm

Our group has been regularly playing shinny every Thursday for years at West Hillhurst. That arena is closed for renovations until at least March 2017.

Our new home for this winter will be Triwood Arena, starting Thursday September 29, every Thursday from 2:45 to 3:45.

This is a very friendly game of no-contact shinny. Most players would be in their 40s, some in the 30s and 50s. All skill levels welcome, and women too.The good players are very good at involving the novices.

Ideally, we like to play 5 on 5 with 2 spares per side, but we would like to have a larger group because some people can't always make it out. We have a list of 3-4 goalies that we can draw from, but we could always use the names of a few more.

Please let me know if you would like to join us regularly or part-time.

We charge $10 per game, no fee for goalies. We usually go to a pub after the game.

We have built a dynasty!

I'll vouch for that! First time out most of the crew made sure I got a goal before the game was over, and then made me feel like I just scored the GWG to bring home the Stanley Cup. Troutman has put together a really awesome group there.

Update - Shinny has moved to Crowchild Twin arenas for the month of April, and maybe longer.

Every Thursday from 3pm - 4:15 pm.
