Just an observation, Johnny one of the highest paid members on the team, did not contribute to the funds. But guys like Dube, Mangi, Benett & Janko did. Good on those boys!

I don’t think we should judge any player who didn’t contribute. It’s 100% not their responsibility.

It would be unfair to cast aspersions on anyone not knowing the extent of their charitable contributions. There's more than one worthy cause, unfortunately.

I feel bad for making fun of Looch when he was an Oiler. I know it's all in good fun as rivals, but he got #### all over by Flames fans for his contract and play with quite a few personal insults . Now that he's a Flame I couldn't have asked for a better team ambassador then him. Seems like a really good family man and teammate. The guys all love him and he really does bring something the team lacks. Contract aside, I'm very happy he's a Flame now.
I will gladly continue to take him over Neal any day for the foreseeable future.

That is true. But it still doesn't change the fact that Gaudreau did not contribute anything as of yet. Its not their responsibility but it still stands out to me as an observation.

We have no idea what any single player has done charity wise.
Just because we haven't seen or heard anything, does not mean it didn't or isn't happening.

There's no obligation by anyone, but the shaming and D### measuring? Its not right, and only creates a culture of forcing fake donations/support by donating for the wrong reason, and encouraging public displays of support (rather than the choice to make private/anonymous contributions). I have no time for it.
We all have every right to gravitate towards, and cheer on those we identify closest with. The more charitable and community oriented people, such as Backs and Giordano, certainly makes it easier to cheer for them. But lets be honest, that's their personal choice, and what seperates them from the rest, and makes them unique.

Just wanted to add that there are players who request a level of anonymity with charitable endeavours. Miikka Kiprusoff (not surprisingly) was an example of this, but was more involved than he seemed with helping others.
