Icon59 Colby Cave passes away after brain bleed

Wow. Apparently he had a brain bleed overnight and was placed in a medically induced coma. Really terrible news and I hope he makes a full recovery.

Terrible news.

Is this something that can just happen, like a stroke or aneurysm? Or would this have happened because of an injury?

That's terrible, I'm hoping for the best for him and a full recover. Did he have concussion history?

Sounds like they removed a cyst from his brain.

Yet another update from the Oilers

Quote:
Daniel Nugent-Bowman
@DNBsports
Update from the Oilers re: Colby Cave. "He's out of emergency surgery at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto where doctors removed a colloid cyst that was causing pressure on his brain." He remains in a medically induced coma.

Another good reason to flatten the curve. Imagine if we had a situation like new York. He probably wouldn't have had a chance.
