Black and white. Two channels over the air.

Around 1976 we got color tv and cable. 12 channels, some from mysterious Spokane. The kid shows on PBS were exciting - Zoom, Electric Company, Mr. Rogers.

Younger sibling has to manipulate the 'rabbit ears' for clear signal?

The Uncle Bobby Show was demented... in a bad way. Ultra Creepy.

I didn't know he had a line of toddler clothes.

I'm sorry, but did they hire Charles Nelson Reilly to do the narration?

There's a newer version sung by Lisa Lougheed who was the voice of Lisa Raccoon.

Just search the internet for 'why is Caillou so bad' or something along those lines and you'll be inundated with articles.
I see your Raccoons theme song and raise you one Edison Twins theme song. You're welcome.

Default Mr. Dressup documentary trailer just dropped...

Circle Square had a catchy ending with the address jingle.

I dare you to youtube it!
They're still running episodes on one of the kids channels.

I agree that it's horrible. My daughter was into it for a hot second.
There is one episode where Upsy Daisy sings, and it is one of the worst episodes of kids TV of all time. my ears are still bleeding.

The only good thing about the show is that Derek Jacobi narrates it.

Do be a Do Bee, buzz buzz.
Miss Fran would call my name "Mike" with regular frequency and it made that day extra special at school! "Yeah, in your face Liam, Ethan & Jacob!!!

Went to a Circle Square Ranch camp when I was 11. It sucked, LOL. Marci, in the opening credits, is Marci Ien, now the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth.

Watched the Mr Dressup documentary this afternoon - seemed like a good idea, with the miserable weather. Brought tears more than once. The saying "never meet your heroes" (a variation of a quote attributed to multiple people) typically applies, or so I've always heard, but I think that Mr Dressup/Ernie Coombs was the exception to that. Sure do miss the man and the show - both my children and I grew up with him, and I only wish my grandson could have as well.

Ha - we did that with our daughter too but it was Bubble Guppies.
