You may want to consider some factors that are more important.

He played exceptionally well in his last game against Arizona. No goals against.

Must win. He is the team MVP, without question, IMO.You go with your best.

Yeah, but that was a long time ago. He has two straight losses and is averaging 5 goals over those two games. In a back to back scenario I would be changing things up and sitting Smith.
