Warrener mentioned on air last week that during the cup run in 04 as soon as the team was done games all the players would immediately fire up CP to read what the fans were saying. So I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if almost every single one of the players is on here from time to time.

I wouldn't go that far. I've seen a few posts hoping for injuries, etc. And some super-hyperbolic comments about hockey skills cross the line as well.

I wonder if it's as big with the players now that twitter and reddit are big.

Its a big site with lots of users who are emotionally charged with wins and losses, not everyone is going to be polite all of the time.

I agree with you, some posts cross the line, hell, I've done it myself a couple of times and keep those in mind and be sure not to do it anymore.

Its not perfect but nobody is going to 'Tonya Harding' anyone and the players are Pros, some of it just comes with the territory.

likely only during a winning streak.
I would think most of them are smart enough to avoid the place when things are not going well.
doubt they popped in much over the last two weeks, for example.

No it wouldn't. If he went to go play professionally somewhere else, then yes.

Anyone can do whatever they want recreationally like playing volleyball, rock climbing, or play mens league.

While both are powerhouses on the internet today, this place predates both of them and has a lot of history behind it.

If I were to guess though which current players lurk from time to time... Backlund, Tkachuk and Giordano.

Those things could actually be disallowed per a contract.

Skiing, motorcycling, and ATVs are actually common caveats in professional sports contracts. Players are free to do them, but if they’re injured doing the activities, teams do have a right to void their contracts, or with hold play.
