The coolest part about that timline is that the Cassian Andor show will take place right in the middle of Rebels timeline. Very high potential to see some Rebels characters show up ?

Reports from the D23 expo say that footage from the movie was shown (not sure if it was a full trailer or not) and it ends with a shot of Rey in a dark cloak holding a double-bladed RED lightsaber.
Still nothing online.
That would be a cool twist if Kylo was redeemed and Rey turned to the dark side.
Yea, I don't see Rey turning evil, even if she is wearing a dark cloak. Don't forget, Luke was dressed all in black during ROTJ.
As for the red lightsaber, my guess is she probably just disarmed one of the Knights of Ren and took his weapon.
I've always said that I have a vision of Ren not being redeemable and Rey ramming a light saber through his face fairly early in the movie and going dark side. Then she gets redeemed sort of and is more of the balance of the force and she goes into self exile in the end leaving no jedi and no sith and she becomes like the embodiment of the father, daughter and brother from the Clone Wars.
But its tough for Disney to have her fall, because frankly she's a powerful female character who sells action figures and lunch boxes.
But I've always contended that she's got darkness in her, we saw that in the first movie when she fought Ren in the woods
Spoiler!
I still think she's a clone of either Palpatine or Anakin, she uses a lot of the same light sabre techniques as both of them and she wasn't taught those techniques, she's also a instinctive force user. She was probably Palpatine's contingency plan if he or Vader fell. She was made to be a apprentice/enforcer to either of them.

Definitely. Rey turning dark would obviously be a major plot twist, and there's no way they would give that away in a teaser trailer. I agree, that scene is most likely part of a Force vision/dream sequence.

Or a double-cross.
Could be anything. Its fun to try and glean info from teasers and trailers, but the good ones dont typically tell you much.

I always get sucked in by these trailers. I remember the first Phantom Menace Trailers with Obi-Wan narrating the fall of the Republic over scenes of the new movie and I was hooked.
Watching that trailer, I do have some thoughts
Spoiler!
I made the assumption that when the First Order Fleet including the Supremacy which was the mobile home world of the First Order was destroyed that the First Order and the resistance would be be weakened. Clearly that's not the case, and we're going to see what I hope is a large scale space battle.
Seeing Carrie Fisher was a bit emotional.
C3PO with Red Eyes, I knew it he is the re-incarnation of Darth Plagieus and has been the real Phantom Menace all along.
I'm hoping that the laser blast isn't another super weapon. There have been too many of those.
That's new Palpatine lines, which is meaningful as the Sith always seem to be about fulfilling their destiny.
I'm hoping this isn't another vision or replication of the tree in ESB, the new trilogy has basically been accused of being a reboot of the OT.
I also hope this isn't a case of Rey being possessed by Palpatine, we don't need Palpatine to be jumping from body to body.
My concern even with bringing Cos back is that it smacks of desperation. Though I love IanMcDarmid and the character.
I can't see Rey falling because of the pressure on Disney and the message of strong female hero's.
But I'm still convinced that Rey is linked to Palpatine and Vader in some way. The fight choreography for Rey is so specific to Vader and to Palpatine.
So what if we're mistaken that the fight between Rey and Ren instead of being the end of the movie is at the very start of the movie. They fight, the only way that Rey wins is to unleash her fury and she kills or incapacitates Ren. She has always wanted to know her place in this and she went easily to the dark side tree . . . er hole. So she flees and eventually ends up at some secret abandoned Imperial Facility. She finds a Holocron of Palpatine addressed to her.
He tells her that she is he or that she is Anakin, a clone created in case the Empire falls. Then Palpatine totally runs the seduction on Rey and she falls.
She becomes the very terror that the resistance was trying to defeat. At the end she fights a redeemed Ren, and she strikes him down. Leia reasons with her and Rey realizes the error of her way. She vows to give up the Force and not to train any new Jedi. So the Jedi and the Sith die, Rey goes into exile.
In the after credits video we see Rey meditating on a far off planet and we see an amazing example of Force Power and she opens her eyes and they're not yellow, they're not her normal color, they're Grey.
