- This is the 2nd of 12 meetings between two teams. Utica won the first meeting 3-0.
- Adirondack is on a two game winning streak where they have scored 14 goals, 6 on the PP
- Comets G Markstrom had his shutout streak broken last night by the Senators in a 3-2 loss. Both Comets goaltenders are in the Top 10 in the AHL.
Roster Notes:- Flames have only 12 healthy and eligible forwards for the game tonight
- Josh Jooris (F), Markus Granlund (F) and Michael Ferland (F) are up with the Calgary Flames
- Trevor Gillies (F) will serve the 7th of his 12 game suspension starting tonight. He will be eligible to return on Nov 12
- Emile Poirier (F) has been officially assigned to the Flames and could play tonight

- PP is 2nd in the AHL at 25.0% (12/48)
- PK is 30th in the AHL at 71.4% (30/42)

I will not be around for this one tonight as I'm off doing more birthday partying.
Also, anyone reading the Adirondack Flames previews, it's riddled with mistakes. Kind of embarrassing that a professional team gets a players name wrong, has formatting issues and incorrect stats in their own report.

Markstrom's been a freak of nature this year. The Flames offense is rolling and Markstrom doesn't allow more than a goal a game. Should be a good one.

this is the first chance I've had to watch an Adirondack game...our defense, and Joni Ortio look quite terrible - has this been the norm so far this year?

So was last year an anomaly for Ortio? Seems like he's right back to the level he was at in 2011-12, when he couldn't even stick with the Heat.

All we can say with certainty is that he's been bad in four of his seven starts.
