Islanders pay up for TJ Oshie
Well, we got a big one here, folks.
To the Kings:
Frank Vatrano
Scott Hartnell
Mark Fayne
Paul Carey
Artur Kayumov
Connor Hall
Evan Fitzpatrick
2020 1st
2020 3rd
To the Islanders:
TJ Oshie
Exciting stuff. Oshie will be huge for this team. Gotta work to recoup some depth. Hopefully we landed Anders Nilsson on waivers -- if so, we'll try to deal Chad Johnson for a replacement forward.
The Islanders up front:
Ovechkin (78) - Fisher (76) - Oshie (77)
Neal (73) - Zajac (74) - Vrbata (73)
Komarov (71) - Hanzal (74) - Letestu (73)
Ummmmmm? - Hmmmmmm? - Pominville (70)
Thanks to the Kings for sticking with me on this.

I agree with some of your past comments about roster shenanigans but

Day to day can come off IR as far as I know. I am sure he’ll continue to get what he wants. The gifts keep on coming.

It’s funny I’ve heard that from about 20 people yet no one is willing to speak out when the conversation is happening. Why is that?

Jfc. I put Keith on the IR because he was injured for two more weeks. I'll take him off injured reserve when, you know, he's not injured anymore.

Bad timing on the Keith day-to-day status, that痴 all. You put him on IR immediately after the fiasco and make new moves, I値l call you out every time.

Did Scorp sleep with a close relative of yours or something?
It seems like you use every opportunity to take jabs at him on here. He's a new-ish GM, and I sure as heck don't agree with all of his moves, but let him play the game without the constant harassment.
We have a fairly competent group of GMs that oversee all teams and make sure they're compliant. Let them do their job or pm them maybe?
As for the trade - a lot of pieces indeed. I asked about Oshie as well, but purely as a rental, so this was way more than I was willing to pony up. IMO, most of this screams quantity over quality. I think Vatrano is highly overrated, Hartnell is nearing the end but, along with Fayne and Carey, can fill a roster spot so that's cool for Kings in the present. The former 2nd and 3rd rounders along with the 2020 1st and 3rd is/could be a nice grab for LA for the future.
Either way, I always love seeing trades.

I put him on IR because he got injured again. I have cap room for him when he gets back.
Why did you bring up Keith in this thread at all? It has nothing to do with him or his status..

The league is going to discuss this one. At some point there needs to be some limits on how many go forward conditions you can trade. Trading away a pick years away is one thing, trading two of them such that one of them is conditional is a concern.

Keith fiasco has to do with everything. Scorp avoided millions of dollars in fines and is now in a fantastic position to sign 76OV players like Fisher and (apparently) make waiver claims. Lucky him!
I ain’t blaming Scorp for anything, he comes out looking pretty good but instead of the league trying to flip and challenge everything I say on me, take some owersership for this and admit you messed up. It’s easy to pont the finger at me as the bad guy buy it sure would be refressing if the league admitted it doesn’t have time to watch everything so closely and missed this one. Try that instead of finding a way for MJK to be the bad guy.

Dave if you don't like how the league is run you know where the door is. The league operates on the honors system with GMs for the most part.
We try to keep an eye on the watch dog but it is difficult as it requires looking at it daily, seeing if there are any moves pending including trades or signings, sending PMs to warm GMs, etc.
In the case of Keith, AS HAS BEEN EXPLAINED, the GM was going through some personal matters. We trust that it wasn't intentional. It has been addressed. If it hasn't been addressed to your satisfaction then you can either to choose to move forward, or you can leave the league.
What isn't an option for you to continue to bring it up over and over again.
So what do you want to do here?

Go ahead and discuss it, I'm willing to cooperate with how the league rules this. If the conditional pick is a bit much, then I'm cool to re-work this. Completely, keep me in the loop on this if it's rejected, eh?
