Bennett high sticked him about 5 seconds into the game

Bennett was RW

Bennett high sticked him? Blah, that sucks. Lose a tooth and don't even get a power play out of it.

Interesting that Bennett was RW. Johnny has played (and dominated) at RW in international play and I keep wishing the Flames would try it. But if Bennett can do it well, then that is good too.

Hope Ferland isn't hurt too bad.

Well thank goodness they won.

220+ games into his NHL career, and Sam Bennett gets one of his few first starts on a Top NHL Line, and ends up with 2 points, and helps to spark the top line back to the score sheet.

Please don't trade bennett. Instead, please put him in a position to succeed by playing him with other offensive talent.

I really don't care what happens with this team this season. However, Bennett development is so crucial to this team's progression from rebuilding to a true contender. So unless they can trade for a young player with a similar level of potential, it's just not worth it.

Enjoyed the game from ice level tonight. Flames fans outnumbered Yates fans 2-1 at least.

The Flames buried a strong percentage of their good chances. That was the difference tonight, versus a bunch if their narrow losses.

I'm rooting for Gillies but he didn't inspire a lot of confidence even when he was making saves. Though he got steadier as the game went on.

For me the stars were Gaudreau, Chucky, Hamilton, Bennett and, for effort, Lazar.

Monahan has again past MacKinnon for most points in the 2013 draft.

Figured we'd get a win here. Let's see what kind of effort this team comes up with on Saturday.

Nice win tonight! Ferly is hurt that explains his poor play. Lots of hate for him around here. 1.75 million a season he has earned his money by far.

Ferland is also built for playoffs. His intensity tonight was good to see.

Great to see them get the win and stay in the race. Maybe I just want change for the sake of change but with Ferland going cold again, I am very excited to see Bennett get a lengthy stretch on the top line.

Happy Gillies got the win but he moves around too much for my liking. My guess is that they go back to Rittich at home.

I think we are taking Gaudreau for granted. He's sensational.

I hate when players throw a late punch, but in this case Rinaldo completely deserved it. Way to go Ferly!
