Meh I guess it doesn't matter, you're just a meh poster anyway. Why ppl who make meh replies to other's posts aren't suspended is beyond me. You aren't my English Prof and this isn't a language forum, if you are too obtuse to substitute "meh" with average/unspectacular on your own and expect the world to adjust to your preference, then you are just being a jerk.

Now that I'm done with your off topic b.s. do you have an actual comment on the player selected? Or perhaps a rebuttle to my preference towards athletic goalies?

P.s. Are you the old man who yells at clouds?

It was a pretty meh joke.

(I have a soft spot for ‘meh’, but that's because I'm a Glove & Boots fan. My favourite Glove & Boots characters are the gorillas, who never say anything but ‘meh’, in varying tones of voice. I especially like it when people say ‘meh’ on CP, because that lets me imagine that I am reading posts by a bunch of gorilla puppets. A few CPers are a lot easier to take if you do that.)

He was dog#### last year. In a better league (USHL) he has a .949 SV% and a 1.25 GAA in the first 12 games this year. Best goalie in the USHL. Early returns look like it is a great pick.

Got bored with the lower level of competition I guess.

When did we get up to our ears with goaltending talent? This is going to pay off nicely from an asset management perspective when we sell someone off in the next season or two.

I'm happy with the potential in the pipeline but aren't the returns for young, unproven goalies (at NHL level) fairly meagre?

So we have both the AHL goalie of the year AND the USHL goalie of the year in our system?

That'll do pig. That'll do.

still find his path extremely interesting. NAHL, USHL, college ... I'd imagine there haven't been many Russians opting for that route.

either way, you have to hand it to the scouts. They've absolutely nailed it with both the Wolf and Sergeev picks late in the draft.

Feels good to have some promising goaltending prospects in the Flames prospect poll. Guess the Leland Irving and Karri Ramo days are over

Irving wasn't promising...? By his D+1 year, Irving was the backup goalie on a gold medal winning Canada U20 WJC team and had back-to-back WHL post-season AS selections.

Similar story for Parsons who was the Mem Cup most outstanding goalie and had an OHL post-season AS selection by his D+1 year.

Similar story for Gillies who was an NCAA starter, backup goalie on a gold medal winning USA U20 WJC team, and had an NCAA first team AS selection in his D+1 year.

Sergeev just had a tremendous D+1 year, but there's still a reasonable possibility that he doesn't pan out at the pro level.

It seems the scouts are drafting many kids who end up being scoring leaders on their team or their leagues altogether too. Many whom are later round picks.
