Sam Bennett will never score another point again.
If he does I will get a haircut.

Last game his penalties were pretty run of the mill IMO. Far more acceptable than his old offensive zone penalties. They both were largely products of bad team defence on the ice at the particular time. And they both were the same kind of penalties lots of players are taking now that weren't penalties before. There were at least three worse ones from other players and no "better" ones.

I'm hoping they've cleaned it up during the 4 days of practice, but I might be hoping for too much. Also I should have set the line at 6.3 which I think is closer to their average per game.

Bennett also got away with one in front of the bench against Dorsett on Saturday (cross check I think?) who then promptly went into the zone and scored.

I think we come out flat, and the Canes score a couple quick ones, just like in the Oilers game.
3-1 Canes
These long breaks seem to kill any momentum that a team has established.

Which means they probably do the exact opposite. The Flames are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. Hoping for the yummy caramels and not those gross cherry vanilla thingies.

The long rest has given the Flames time to work on many things, including discipline. Fortunately, the time off has allowed That Darn Puppet to prepare a little "discipline" of his own for Carolina:
Go Flames

Will likely do something for Joe Carbury as well. I'm guessing a joint moment of silence for both. I'd be surprised if there was a video tribute or anything like that

I'll be extremely upset if the Flames choose to honor Gord Downie and not the volunteer firefighter out of Hilda AB that was killed in the wildfires on Monday night.

It was a little trip, and fell into the "accidental-on purpose" category. It was pretty Marchand-like. If that had been Tkachuk people would be snickering about it. The fact Dorsett scored a little later was really a coincidence.

Especially when he isn't producing. Takes his frustration out by taking bad penalties.

Which one of his penalties last game was a bad penalty taken in frustration? Which one in any other game this year?
