I thought it was because of the London Knights? They'd have to agree to share profits or buy the brand from them.

Johnson, Elliott, and Smith in Anaheim have combined to give Calgary a +7 point swing over Anaheim two weeks into the season.

That was the most annoying part. Makes each cut very jarring

Yeah the actual picture quality is virtually identical nowadays. There used to be a big drop off with SNET.

The colour balance is for sure off with that broadcast. There are a couple arenas that for whatever reason are quite drastically different. Arizona and Anaheim were bad last year, though the Flames game in Anaheim last week was way better already.

As mentioned, some people prefer cooler colour temp, however the SNET broadcast had that extremely cool temperature for the standard live cameras, and then several of their closeup cameras were warm. So something is wrong with the broadcast control.

When I work on the clips I do my best to neutralize all the "off" colours. Some arenas (and their lighting) tend to look quite green, or yellow, or purple. White jerseys looking hot pink is a big indicator.

I know it likely won't happen, but they look like a good team with a great system so far. Their wins don't seem flukey at all. Hope they make the playoffs and surprise some people.
lol playoffs!

Nice start but lets not get too crazy here...of their first 10 games TWO are against teams that made the playoffs last year and SEVEN of them are home games. Nice start but the NHL set them up to not get blown out of the water...but its coming.

Probably. But we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that this is the deepest expansion roster maybe in the history of the NHL. I won't be surprised to see VGK hold their own.

They may surprise by not being the worst team in the league...but there is no way in hell they are making the playoffs

Their early season schedule is so weak...but that just means stronger tests are coming. Anything above a bottom three finish would be a major win IMO.

How come Rick Ball is doing the play by play for Vegas randomly, is he filling in for someone? Who is his colour commentary guy?
Quote:
The colour guy sounds just like Jamie McLennan to me, but that can’t be it, since I am quite sure he still works for TSN.
The colour guy working with Rick Ball is Jason York, he was the colour guy for the Habs regional games on SN East the past 3 seasons.

Tavares must be having nightmares because he missed a WIDE open net to tie the game.

Golden Knights are my new second favorite team. So fun to watch and never quit. Plus I love their uniforms! And it'll be cool to be able to say I was a fan since day 1. So go Knights!

The butter soft start may actually help them into the playoffs. Look at Edmonton last year, they took advantage of the first month and a bit and did fairly well.

I wouldn't count Vegas out of the playoff race.

You can't be serious...Vancouver started 4-0 last season

anyway I am talking about the strength of schedule

Stole one in Dallas, beat the yotes x2, Beat the Bruins missing their best player

Yeah the knights are getting a really soft schedule to start. Don't think there is any chance they won't be bottom 3 in the league. Edmonton oilers last season soft.
