34 UFE's in 15 games. Basically starting every game in a 0-30 hole from errors. Not gonna win a lot playing that poorly. Clearly not a very good grass player at this time either.

I did get up early to watch Bianca (the first set anyway) and she was playing okay, but just way too many unforced errors. Cornet is a grass veteran (I think they threw a stat on the screen that only the Williams sisters, Stosur, and Kuznetsova have played more Wimbledon's than Cornet). The 6-2 first set score is a little misleading as it was a 49 minute set, but give credit to Cornet, she was just getting everything back and waited for Bianca to make the error. After Bianca lost the first set, I went back to sleep as the frustration was clear to see.

Djokovic has already fallen 3 times against Anderson.
Isner and Anderson going out first round is SCD's dream

down goes Kyrgios with the now classic Wimbledon knee buckle. I'm just going to pretend that this is a new Canadian grand slam tournament being played on green ice.

Shapo's opponent in round 3 will be either Oscar Otte or Andy Murray.

Felix takes the opening set 6-3 over Monteiro. Nice and tidy from FAA, serving well and keeping the unforced errors tally to single digits in that first set.

Kyrgios breaks and is serving for the match at 8-7 in set 5

You act like they are the only two servebots out there. As the old saying goes "Don't hate the player, hate the game". The idea lives on and I won't rest until it dies.
On a Kyrgios (and slippery court) related matter, here he is spitting absolute knowledge. They need to stop slowing the game down, no one enjoys grindfests.

That just helps servebots

I read a long time ago it was the type of grass that had changed from the old days that made the court slower and bouncier. I didn't figure that watering it and leaving it taller would speed things up, but right now it seems it's the worst of both worlds...slow balls and slicker than grease on shoes.

No, it helps people hit winners. Real grass tennis is fun to watch.
Servebots were never really that big a problem - they only ever got so far - and there are far fewer of them now than there were 10 years ago. The problem now, as it has been for a while, is anti-tennis. Grass is the only surface that is kryptonite for those players.
Kyrgios is right.

In all sports people like offense. Tennis has been the only sport I can think of that has actively tried to decrease offense in the last 15 years. We've heard it for years that hardcourts and grass courts are starting to resemble clay more and more. And it's all good when you have the three greatest players ever to help keep interest. But I remain convinced the long-term health of the sport is bleak, and more clay-like tennis is only going to drive away more fans.

They have fastened(?) clay too. Matches used to be 5-6 hours.
Variety is good. Clay should be super slow and grass should be super fast and fans pick the one they like.

I think we're getting the terminology mixed up? anti-tennis = servebot, negative tennis = rallybot?

Yeah, I agree with Corsi and SCD, it seems like tennis is actively trying to punish guys who are blessed with big games by trying to slow courts down and level the playing field. We already have clay courts specifically designed for that purpose, we don't need to slow down hard courts and grass courts, let the big dogs hunt.

I can't remember what year it was but I remember there was a real push to change the Wimbledon courts after a Sampras final where there were only like 5 rallies over 5 shots all match. That's not entertaining either.

The changes have certainly benefited Djokovic and Nadal. If Djokovic was playing with similar conditions of the 90s I don't know if he wins 5/6 Wimbledon titles. Similarly I don't see Nadal winning 4 US Open titles if they don't slow down those courts.
