But still doesn't excuse some problems this team had defensively. Also Gulutzan showing again why he isn't the man who should be behind the bench

That was a grim game, lots of mistakes, but they pull out the Win. I'll take it.

Afternoon games are usually our Kryptonite, just like opening games, but they got this one, but man was it ugly but fun as hell.

Good teams can win games where they don't play all that well on the back of their talent, which is how I'd classify this game. Gaudreau and Monahan at their best today. Also liked the 3rd period by Bennett and Jankowski, they easily could've picked up the GWG if one of those crossbars had been an inch lower.

I admit, I bailed after 3-1, partly due to kid responsibilities, partially because I suck. Tuned in for OT. Beauty win.
