Can't give performance bonuses except on ELC's and to over 35 players or players who've missed massive amounts of time due to injury. So no, it isn't performance based at all

So Sam comes into camp this year with two years of NHL experience under his belt, a new two year contract that doesn't pressure him in a bad way, and plenty of motivation to rip things up to earn a big payday in two years - I would say that's a potent cocktail!

The intriguing thing about Jagr playing with Bennett is that Jagr's really good at zone possession which Bennett is really bad at.
A full season of Bennett practicing alongside Jagr who would teach him the board protection and distribution game would be amazing.
