Can confirm. My buddy, who has thighs about the size of my waist, has to buy all his dress pants there. I still buy mine at Baby Gap.

My final commuting day of 2018, should roll it just over 5900km on the ride home today. Goal this year was 5000km.

For 2019 I'd be quite happy to get over 6000km, if I can squeeze some weekend longer rides in I should have no problem getting it done. Stretch goal of 6500km.

The times I have looked at both jenson and CRC the prices have been similar - sales aside. It will be interesting to see if jenson pricing changes.

I ordered once from CRC and was hit with duty and it took about 10 days or so to get the stuff. Jenson is always no duty, and comes within a few days.

I am fortunate in that I get preferred pricing at the bike shop, so the price is usually close to what jenson would be on many items, so I try to stay local. But I am usually good for an order or two from jenson per year.

Just got back from a spin along th river out to heritage pointe. Perfect afternoon for a spin on the fattie. Last nights snow made the ride fresh, and it was nicely packed on my bottom bracket

Looking at my Garmin over the the past week I have been able to ride 4 times for just a little over 100k. Strava tells me I rode about 85k - surprisingly one feeds the other.

With any luck my jeans will still fit when I go back to work next week

45NRTH RAGNAROK. Says they're good down to -28. Monday should be a good test.

Where did you see they are good to -28? The product website shows -3 C.
https://45nrth.com/products/ragnarok-reflective

I ask as my last ride was with my winter boots on; which sucked.

Inside the package I think. I'll find it when I get home.

At -28 the only thing that saves my toes are toe warmers. Worth it, even if the ride is only 30 min to get to work. I wear Sorels with double socks down to -20, then need the warmers.

I know I'm not going to get any sympathy from Calgary, but I'm in Arizona right now and looking to get some longer rides in to finish the year. 50km/h winds are killing my buzz and would likely kill me on some of these highways if I attempted to ride out there.

^ first off Ktrain thoughts and prayers to you.

Seriously though, I can empathize as it would be frustrating to be someplace where the climate was warm and you wanted ride, but the wind would make the ride miserable.

Personally I hate when it is chinooking here and it is windy. I’d rather it be a little colder with no wind

I ended the year with 5,273 kilomtres cycled, with 57,167 metres of elevation gain. Only 400 of those kilometres were after September 8th. Once I finished the Whistler GranFondo I lost a lot of my motivation. My month with the most distance covered was June, with 960 kilometres. November only had 25 kms. My longest rides, in terms of distance, were the 160 kmValley GranFondo in Langley and the PGAMO in Penticton. My longest (in terms of time) ride was 5:59:26 when I cycled the Triple Crown in Vancouver. From my house it was 126 kms and included 2,553 metres of climbing.

My original goal for the year was 6,000 kms. I was well on my way, but lost a lot of motivation during the last quarter of the year. Work, life, weather, curling, golf, etc. all took priorities for me. I intend to bike much more in 2019. I'll be cutting my gym time down and spending more on my bike. I joined a racing team, so this will involve much more training and I'll be entering in crit races with the team. I'll still be doing the fondos, but will more strategic on which ones to enter.
