“Last game in Winnipeg, McDavid was two for two.”
-Kevin Quinn, referring to the Oilers’ powerplay.

Oilers gameplan is obvious and hilarious...
Every time Ive watched them this year 5v5 its been the exact same thing, minus the third period in Winnipeg where Jets gave up and made Oil look decent.
All they have been told to do is scramble to keep the puck out of their net, then send it out of the zone and repeat until Mcdavid gets on the ice and he will take over.
Its Brilliant.

1st intermission banter between Principe and Remenda just now:
"McDavid McDavid McDavid."
"McDavid?"
"No, McDavid McDavid."
"Ahh, McDavid McDavid McDavid.
"Connor?"
"Yes. McDavid. Crossovers. Let's go. McDavid."

Haha! Drew Remenda talking about McDerpy's leadership. Add "c'mon" to "let's go" for Connor's leadership speeches.

DeBrusk does a great job though must be tough for him doing an Oiler's broadcast when his son plays for the Bruins.

DeBrusk has made the broadcasts much easier to consume. DeBrusk is actually pretty good IMO.

Bruins look terrible tonight. Oilers all over the Bruins tonight. I missed the first period, but I have no idea how Boston wins tonight. Brutal.

I loathe everything that is the Edmonton Oilers. Complete joke of a organization, but yet their tires are ready to burst from being pumped year after year.

They haven’t looked overly impressive in any of their wins, outside McDavid.
Rangers: maybe a worse defense than the Oilers, projected lottery favorite.
Jets: were getting pummeled until Winnipeg thought they could coast the 3rd period and totally crapped the bed.
Bruins: my god they looked awful tonight. I don’t want to say it’s all because they played us the night before but they looked terrible. The Oilers just managed to be a fraction less awful than the opposition.
The Oilers have not had a game where they carried the play for the majority of the game. McDavid has put the team on his back and scratched and crawled his way to W’s. If either McDavid or Talbot isn’t lights out, the losses will pile up quickly. McDavid is the only reason they are not lottery favorites and at the rate his playing he’s going to burn out or get injured.
