I may be in Vegas as well. Still finalizing details, but looking probable. I'd be going down the 2nd or 3rd and going back on the 6th. Flames game on the 3rd. Patriots on the 5th. Turning 33. Should be a good weekend.

Heading down to Vegas on February 22nd for four days at the Aria.

I'm going to be golfing. Any courses down there that the golfers recommend?

Thanks!

I'm heading down Feb. 9. What I need is a place for a nice romantic dinner.

I've done the patio in Paris, and unfortunately I gave that idea to the other couple we're going with, so I need something else.

Reasonably priced people! I'm not one of CP's 1%'ers.

What kind of food are you looking for? I'd hit up one of the discount ticket booths and grab a coupon for a meal. My buddy and I did that and got an awesome dinner at the steakhous in Bill's. Bill's is a dive but the steakhouse is really nice.

Has anybody here actually tried the '$20 trick'? Or is that just internet propaganda? I assume with all the hotels being owned by massive conglomerates it's more myth than anything. Just curious.

The sushi place in TI was quite intimate, and had fantastic sushi, if you're into that sort of thing.

Going to Vegas in two weeks. Excited to try the twenty-dollar trick. I've had good experiences just asking the clerk nicely for an upgrade, but figure an extra $20 might lead to an even better suite. Results to follow

It's not set in stone yet, but it looking more like we'll be hitting up Vegas for a few days in April. Group of 4 adults (two couples).
- Good hotels? (I'm thinking MGM, chilling by the pool would be a plus)
- Any recommendation on cigar/smoke shops? (We're going for my 30th and I always like to ring in my birthdays with a stoogie and I don't wanna risk smuggling cubans from my personal collection across the boarder)

Last year when I went to play WAR the dealer actually told me it's a giant waste of money, and said she'd never play it... so I did... and lost. quickly lol. Still fun in a prop betting kind of sense. Going tomorrow, can't wait.

The house edge on war is 2.33 - 2.88% (if you're not playing surrender), so it's certainly not the worst game in the casino. I've won money off it, I've also lost money on it.

They get you when you go to "war". You're forced to double down, but don't get paid on the original bet if you win, and lose the whole thing if you lose.

Looking at going back in July so would like input on a hotel on the strip with a good fun pool (more affordable the better), also, i'm surprised that no one here from scanning the thread has mentioned going to Vegas via Great Falls on Allegiant Air, pretty affordable rates using them although i'm in Lethbridge so the drive isn't to bad from here.

In late 2009 my wife booked an incredible deal through Allegiant Air. Airfare for two, plus 4 nights at NYNY for just under $300, this included a bunch of coupons for a free meal, and free drinks at all the bars in NYNY, and a free hour at the spa and a few other bonuses. I took a peak today and it is over $350 for a similar package.
