If you can't shutdown your opponent when you have 3-1 lead late in the game, you don't deserve to make the playoffs.

The playoff teams simply don’t do that. Against non-playoff teams that’s for sure.

This team is going to have so much character if they make the playoffs. So many games this year where they outplay the other team and don't get the win. So much bad luck in overtime. The team is finding ways to stay in playoff race with their two most important players (huby and Markstrom) struggling hard.
Teams that build character (either in the current season or from past playoff failures) find success in the playoffs.
Just sayin'...

This team is in a 3 way fight for the last wild card spot with Minny and Nashville. They aren’t catching anyone in our division. Assuming everyone in our division keeps playing at the same pace they have been all year, the Flames have to play .678 the rest of the way to just tie them. Highly unlikely and nothing says things are turning around for that.
Best case right now is the 2nd wildcard. Making any moves to bolster this team is a bad idea. Let the season play out and regroup in the offseason.
