I waited forever to hatch a Tangela, hatched my first one a couple of weeks ago.

Just now, I literally hatched two at the same time.

I'm now level 29 - Pokedex 167

Those are the Gen 2 I have so far. Honestly, I have no idea what is rare or what I should be excited about. I think Skarmory is pretty rare, not sure about Octillery. Is Donphan good? Sudowoodo? Larvitar is equivalent to a Dratini, I guess.

Pokedex 176. Haven't seen any of the evolve items yet but if I find any I'm ready to add Kingdra, Scizor, Steelix, Slowking, Politoed, Bellossom.

My wife walked her Chansey for a couple weeks including the event and got enough for her upgrade which she did yesterday

Tried to take down a gym yesterday that had two Blisseys in it. Timed out on the first one three times before deciding to move on.

I was happy to find a Houndour, though!

Caught one before the event = 3 candy
Caught one during the Valentine's Day event = 6 candy
Hatched one during the Valentine's Day event (double candy) = 29 candy
Transferred two of the weaker ones = 3 candy
Walked 5 km = 1 candy

Only way to bring down Blissey is team play, I think. It's really the only way to gym fight actually.
Most we have had together is 6 attackers.
Need to basically countdown 3-2-1-go, so everyone starts on the same Pokémon. It will show numbers of attackers teamed up on the fight screen.
Can run through level 10 gyms without using a single revive this way, or more likely only 2 or 3 needed to tear it to the ground.

Caught a Dunsparce - seems rare.

Man, its hard to collect balls when there's so much new pokemon popping up.

Added Noctowl, Ledian, Ariados, Pineco, Dunsparce and Gligar to the Pokedex tonight.

Puts the Pokedex at 182.

Looks like 233 is the maximum without travel. New goal! Haha.

I'm excited about eggs again. It helps that I've collected three 10k eggs since gen 2 came out - 2 incubating right now, and one waiting.

Played quite a bit over the last few days.

Pokedex is at 197 (143 Kanto and 54 Johto). Time to start seeking out some of the more rare stuff now.

1 candy away from an Ursaring and 3 away from Blissey! Also have two 10 km eggs about to hatch.
