John Garrett just called this game a "partial start" for Jaroslav Halak because he was pulled midway through the second. That's just dumb. Either the goalie starts the game or he doesn't. There are no partial starts.

They've had a pretty rough start mostly because Luongo was injured for the first few weeks of the season. Reimer and Hutchinson are just not starter material. I have a feeling they'll be around the playoff bubble this year at the end.

DeBrusk with his second of the game. 5-4 on the powerplay.

Oilers only have 14 shots in two periods? Good.

Outshot 19-4 ins the second period by Florida. McDavid has been in "energy conservation mode" for much of the game.

Wow, I was about to question why you were calling the Panthers the worst team in the league as they were supposed to be at least decent this year. But just looked it up and yep, literally the worst team in the league. Weird.

Cali, any insight for non Panther watchers?

EDIT: Saw you answered this already.

Ok, the Canucks can fall back down to earth anytime now. I'm sick of this crap.

WTF, Bruins?

his salary drops to $1m in cash next year. Won't he just retire? Seems like a solid rental

Maybe? But why should he? The team cannot make Luongo retire.

Maybe we in the Lower Mainland have been sucked into an alternate universe.

You will never get Lou yo leave Florida. He choose to go there because thats were his wifes family lives and where he met her. Lou would probably just retire than move.

I refuse to accept Chilliwack as the lower mainland. You're the weird bridge and tunnel Valley folk that we get to look down upon.

But also yes, it's the only explanation.

The Coyotes have 9 shorthanded goals through 14 games.

Ridiculous.

You know everything is just gonna get worse now that Rask is in net. Guy is struggling so far this season. Still would have him over Smith tho
