Its not untrue. There's no greater sin on Oilers hf than complimenting Calgary but more specifucally hinting at their neighbors superiority. Huge mod trigger.

The moderators would be more accepting of questionable racial comments.

Soria has all the smug insight of Kent Wilson or Ryan Pinder with the same flat narrative that I gloss over. This is of course if Kent or Ryan wished to look at the Flames with an optimistic viewpoint.

I laughed at the cries on HFOil

Bring in Quenneville, Bring in Yzerman.

I can see that conversation

Lowe - Hey Joel, we want you to come and coach the Oilers, you'll get to work with the Conner.

Joel - Yeah, I'm getting paid by the Hawks and I really want to work with a team with more then 2 good players.

Lowe - D'oh. Oh well hey Stevie Y, we're going to fire Chia and hire you to head up our franchise.

Yzerman - Are you and Mac-T and the rest of the old boys club going to leave me alone to do my job

Lowe - Well no, we know winning you see, and we would want to teach you to GM the Oilers way

Yzerman - Frack off.

It's good to see the pitchforks and torches again. It didn't take that long didn't it? It's a good thing they did some winning to make the leash longer on T-Mac, but I wonder how many losses they can stomach before kicking him out. They seem to be closing in already after three straight defeats. It's a bit worrisome.

I read in an oiler-site post game article how this game against the panthers should have been an easy win. The incredible arrogance, it's baffling really how winning a few games to start the year makes them think they are a top team that should feast on bottom dwellers.

So I’m reading the oilers pgt and keep running into comments about how the oil lost 3 straight and dropped from 1st in the division to out of the playoffs.

This really confused me because Edmonton hasn’t been even tied for first in the division since the puck dropped on the nhl season.

So here's a fun and interesting stat, thanks to Reddit. Mathew Barzal needs 2 points next game to become the 11th player in the last 25 years to be a PPG player over his first 100 games.

Griffin Reinhart just needs 99 more points in his next 63 games to join the same club.

E=NG needs to go viral.

Use it as a stand-alone response on Social Media to Oilers discussion.

E=NG

No more needs to be said.

A lot of talk from Edmonton media / fans today about how their schedule has been so tough that you have to be happy with their record.

I wish I understood what the hell that Sagarin table was saying so I could potentially make fun of them.

The person who should be most thankful for that trade is actually Jake Debrusk because the Oiler department of nepotism... I mean scouting... would have selected Jake then plugged him into their lineup immeadiately potentially derailing his career or throttling his potential.

No, Jake was always safe.

His dad wasn't part of the glory years. Doesn't know enough about winning

Rumblings of Jesse Puljujarvi being sent to the AHL -- against Florida he got nine minutes of ice time (last on the team), playing on the fourth line. No points, no shots, minus 1.

Meanwhile, I believe Yamamoto was a healthy scratch.

They got desperate against the worst team in the league and played a line of:

RNH - McDavid - Draisaitl

The 'All Centres' line.

The really funny part must have been watching who comes over the boards after that shift is done.

That must have been terrifying for the Panthers.

Do the Oilers know nothing about thawing and marinating a steak before you eat it?

No, they like to sear frozen meat and serve it to the customers with the Connor salad and pass it off as Michelin-star cooking.

McDavid was 11% at faceoffs last night. Terrible. RNH was 37.5%. No wonder they put Draisaitl with McDavid, at least he can win a faceoff.
